The Tragically Hip- Bobcaygeon

If you're not from Canada then there's a good chance that you might not have heard of these guys before. They're arguably Canada's most iconic band but they never seemed to have much luck internationally. Unfortunately their lead signer Gord Downie was diagnosed with a bad form of brain cancer earlier this year and the doctors don't know how long he has. Gord's strong for now though and the band is going on tour this summer as a final farewell for their fans. I think it's one of the bravest and coolest things that I've ever heard. I wanted to post a tribute to these guys to spread the joy of their music and as a tribute to a band that I've loved ever since I first heard them on Q107 when I was maybe 5 or 6. This song just reminds me of the summer and going up north to a cottage with some buddies for a long weekend. Hopefully I've been able to re-capture some the magic here that I felt the first time I heard the song.

Bobcaygeon - The Tragically Hip (Acoustic Cover)

The Tragically Hip were always a huge inspiration to me, and I never did do anything really when Gord Downie died, so I figured I ought to make up for that by finally uploading some covers. This is the first.
