We've been fans of the always cool, calm and collected Detroit Swindle for sometime now and can't wait for their second album out later this month.
'High Life' sees them collaborate with a number of artists but none flow as easily as this gem with South London R'n'B treasure Tom Misch. Treat yourself.

Written by Lars Dales, Maarten Smeets, Lorenz Rhode & Tom Misch
Produced by Lars Dales & Maarten Smeets
Lyrics, vocals and guitar by Tom Misch
Embodying their signature deep house sound, Amsterdam based Detroit Swindle have officially remixed ‘South Of The River’, the new single by Tom Misch.
With Tom being a huge fan of the duo as well as working with them in the studio, the collaboration itself was very organic. Detroit Swindle operate under their own label Heist Recordings as well as having released music on renowned labels like Freerange, Future Classics, Dirt Crew (where they released their well received debut album ‘Boxed Out’), Tsuba, Classic Music Company, Kaoz Theory and many more. This includes notable remixes for Hercules and Love Affair, Chet Faker, Seven Davis Jr. and Romanthony’s track ‘Too Long’ produced by Daft Punk. The boys are as much enthusiastic record diggers and synth hunters as they are lovers of modern day electronic music, so the pair working with Tom through this remix was an easy decision.
Amsterdam DJ and production duo and @heistrecordings bosses, @detroitswindle deliver a Worldwide mixtape that justifies why they're such important influences in the current house sound of Central Europe.
Detroit Swindle - Allright (We'll Be)(128kps)
Detroit Swindle – AKA – Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets are back with their first new material in a year and it’s great!
The two have been making waves, particularly in the UK over the past month and it’s excellent to have them back in full swing. From bringing their own ‘Great Escape’ party to Leeds to performing an endearing set at Fabric on Valentines day, it seems like almost the perfect time to bring you an exclusive first listen to the pairs brand new ‘The Punch Drunk EP’
The extended play leads off with ‘Allright (We’ll Be)’ a feel-good slice of future-retro discoid filter vocal house. The Dutch duo have nothing to do with Detroit – or techno – but have crafted a track that plays like a classic Nervous or Strictly Rhythm soundtrack.
Second track ‘Pursuit’ is more of chuggy, deeper track enthusing smooth, melodic synth pads, deep, groovy low-end sounds and easy-listening piano chords.
The EP is set for release through the duo’s own label Heist Recordings on the 23rd February and will be available through all major music distribution sites.
Dutch duo Detroit Swindle proved their world-renowned worth at Ray-Ban #unplug Madrid, playing house, soul, techno and everything in between to a all invested Spanish audience

High quality house music is, no doubt, a specialty of Kerri Chandler’s, and his groove infused ‘Get Out’ is no exception. A powerful remix package is on its way for Kerri’s own Madhouse Records via his Matrix alias, and Mixmag has grabbed the Detroit Swindle take, which rewinds it all the way back with the infectious vocal samples from the original released all the way back in 1992 on Madhouse. The remix package, along with takes from Peggy Gou, Josh Butler and Jimpster, is out February 9.
The first release on our own label is a two tracker by ourselves and we're very very excited to finally share it with you. Big support from so many people both dj'ing and partying...
