No Eyes ft. Jaw | Exploited

FACEBOOK : www.facebook.com/claptone.official TWITTER : twitter.com/Claptone_ We are back in 2013. Beginning of 2012 a new name appeared on the international dancefloor: CLAPTONE (artist of the year 2012 in German Trendcharts DCC). The track ‘CREAM’ became the worldwide Top Track (No.2) of Beatport in the category Deep House and was among the Top 10 of the most charted tracks for 2012 on Resident Advisor. The new year brings 2 more surehots for the clubs: WRONG & NO EYES featuring JAW from dOP. Early support by Tensnake, Solomun, Noir, Laurent Garnier, DJ T… In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded darkness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone. Years spending wandering medieval landscapes have informed Claptone’s view of the world, experiencing both magical mystery and muted melancholy he enchanted onlookers with occult instruments and beguiling sounds. Forever surrounded by a sense of intrigue, the world soon cottoned on to the elusive yet enchanting musical powers of this otherworldly beast. The results are that today his shamanistic sonic powers take him all around the world. Whilst Claptone has continued to roam in his own circles, 2012AD proved to be a year dominated by his infectious ‘Cream’ track. It became an immediate hit, topping new world charts at Beatport and RA, whilst the sonic conjuring of the ‘Night On Fire’ EP also lured all those who heard it, with the result another Top 20 hit. But that’s not all, for the creativity flows freely in our hero, and his ‘Another Night’ also proved to be just as successful on the dancefloor. Deep and woozy, the Claptone sound pairs theatre with tragedy, feel good vibes with acute melancholia and imbues each groove with a Rhodes laced funk, an organic string hook and myriad earthy elements. Up to the present day, Claptone releases have been birthed on Germany’s influential Exploited label, picking up props from the likes of Pete Tong, DJ Sneak, Soul Clap, DJ Hell, Jesse Rose, A-Trak along the way. Who or whatever Claptone is, it is alive, with a life of its own, evolving and revolving in equal measure, exploring new sounds naturally and forever taking inspiration from long gone and occult worlds. So far, esteemed and influential dancefloors at clubs in Berlin, London, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai, New York and many others around the world have fallen under the sonic spell of this secretive alchemist. The future is unpredictable for Claptone, but a new release ‘Wrong’ including the track ‘No Eyes’ with the inimitable JAW from French funsters dOP is on the horizon. Beyond that, your guess is as good as ours… Some early feedbacks: DJ-Mag: Part transcendental house, part pop. Lush! Tensnake: Two tracks that will sure fill the dancefloors. The six piece collective claims to have its Kibbutz somewhere in the Aegean Sea. Watch out for these 2 new remixes by Claptone & Fred Falke and the outstanding official music video directed by Camilla Mantovani and shot by acclaimed cinematographer Marc Gomez de Moral who has photographed videos for Pet Shop Boys, El Guincho, Sonàr festival, Two Door Cinema Club and The Battles and for the latter work was nominated for best cinematography in a video at the UK Music Video Awards 2011. 'Continuing the year with a stream of fine releases Exploited deliver their next masterpiece. Kyodai are a Spanish duo currently residing in Berlin and with the help of one of our favourite vocalists Stee Downes theyve produced a track that has summer dance floor filler written all over. Theres a sense of emotion running throughout Music Rises Up with its deep piano chords instantly pulling on the heart strings, rhythmically rolling snares and a punchy kick combine perfectly with glistening pads to add to a wholly magical feel to this vibe. We obviously cant forget Stee Downes vocals which have transformed so many huge tracks over the past few years, Lovebirds Want You In My Soul and Audiojacks Tunnel Vision to name but a few. Stees voice suits the track down to a tee with his softly delivered soulful range and eloquent song writing abilities.' (Words by XYST) 'Music Rises Up' is available in 2 different club versions by Claptone & Simon Garcia now. United | Exploited

FACEBOOK : www.facebook.com/claptone.official TWITTER : twitter.com/Claptone_ Watch the official videoclip here: youtu.be/pbMyUv_-YGw Multiple plays by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show over the last 5 weeks and in the Top 10 Beatport Deephouse Charts after 1 week. Early feedback by Arthur Baker, The Magician, The Rapture, Huxley, Riva Starr, Anja Schneider, Bonde do Role, Oliver Koletzki, Tensnake, Digitalism, Karotte and many more. "Claptone is a man of mystery. Of course there are countless anonymous DJs hiding behind everything from angry-face cardboard boxes to giant cassette tapes. But Claptone takes the enigma game to the next level—not only does he flit around in a gold, pointy bird mask straight out of G-Force: Guardians of Space, he also claims to embed an entire "universe of secrets" into his sounds. Not sure what that means... maybe spectogram images a la Aphex Twin? Also, in an interview from earlier last year, he said certifiably batshit stuff like, “Over the years I’ve learned to affect every being on earth and to synchronize the noises and sounds (they produce). With my magic wand I now bring to life a universal orchestra and direct the world’s unique soundtrack.” Which is… awesome?" (Vice Thump) Actually, we think it’d be pretty chill if he took the reigns on the “the world’s unique soundtrack” and made it sound a little more like this velvety, floor-shaking, party-starting, spooky, hypnotic house track GHOST he delivered us on the back of a singing Alec Ounsworth from Indie Rock Band CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH. More house magic included on track 2 UNITED. Feed the bird. Label: Exploited Artist: Claptone Release: Ghost LC: 15799 Releasedate Beatport: 10.02.14 Releasedate I-Tunes, Juno ect: 10.03.14 Early Feedback: Arthur Baker – Great moody track with classic Claptone Balearic sound. Anja Schneider – Support. Oliver Koletzki - Big. “Ghost” will be my pormo of the month in my new radioshow on Fritz this saturday. Digitalism – Nice. Noir - Nice EP again from Claptone. Edu Imbernon – “Ghost” has something special. Top release! Kiki – A Ghost singing a sweet lullaby… Karotte – 2 cool tracks from Claptone. Sasha - Good tracks. Doctor Dru – Quality work in typical Claptone signature sound. Support from Dru. Andy George / BBC Radio 1 - Like it a lot! Claptone - The Music Got Me | Exploited

Essential New Tune for Pete Tong at BBC Radio 1. Claptone steps out of the shadows once again with ‘The Music Got Me’, an exciting new offering from the mysterious enigma with the golden mask. 'Music Got Me' by Claptone is an authorised cover version of 'Music Got Me' by Visual which has been approved and licensed by Unidisc the rights holder. As you would expect of new Claptone, 'The Music Got Me’ is destined for late nights and packed clubs all over, such are the enchanting powers of this otherworldly beast. However this new offering goes further still. The achingly cool 80s NYC disco/postpunk flavour combines with a distinct Chicago bassline to offer an exciting glimpse of the eclectic, indie vibe of his debut artist album. Claptone’s last two releases ‘No Eyes’ and ‘Ghost’ both topped the Beatport charts, the latter of which featured Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! (a collaboration we can only assume was arranged by some sort of séance). They went on to become enormous smashes on Berlin house label Exploited, earning the plaudits of the biggest DJs and setting Claptone off on a non-stop DJ tour across the globe. It’s remarkable that the masked man has still found time in his tour schedule to deliver big remixes for the likes of Metronomy, The Pet Shop Boys, Rüfüs, Klaxons and Gregory Porter (which is currently No.1 in Beatport's Deep House charts). 2015 will also see Claptone embark on a run of ‘Immortal Live’ dates, a unique A/V experience which brings together a full set of Claptone creations (MIAMI ULTRA FESTIVAL – 29/3, BRUSSELS PIAS NITES – 4/4, GERMANY MELT! FESTIVAL 17/7, LONDON SW4 FESTIVAL – 29/8). Label: Exploited Artist: Claptone Release: The Music Got Me LC: 15799 Releasedate Beatport: 06.04.15 Releasedate I-Tunes, ect: 20.04.15

Pre-Order ITunes: http://bit.ly/CompuphonicMagicalShoes With over 7 million plays and counting on YouTube Compuphonic's 2011 collaboration with Marques Toliver, 'Sunset' raised the bar pretty high. Since then Maxime has gone on to produce remixes for the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Gotye even and fellow Belgians The Subs (winning a Red Bull award in the process) and release two acclaimed EPs on Berlin label Exploited. Now finally Maxime and Marques have reunited for a new EP on Exploited, 'Magical Shoes', and the results are everything we could have hoped for. Having delivered two huge club hits in 2014 with ’Radio Atlantis’ and ’O Cypres’, Belgian star Compuphonic returns this February with his third EP for Exploited, ‘Magical Shoes’. 2 tracks of sublime House music, the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP sees Compuphonic finally reunited with the Beyoncé approved American singer Marques Toliver, whose vocals previously graced Maxime’s 2012 breakout hit ’Sunset’. Once again this Transatlantic pairing have struck gold as Compuphonic’s distinctive brand of deeply emotional, nuanced, House Music provides the perfect setting for Marques’ plaintive vocals. With it’s distinctive Korg M1 organ and shuffling beats ‘Magical Shoes’ instantly brings to mind legendary ‘90s New York clubs like The Sound Factory but thanks to Compuphonic’s production skills it goes well beyond that of simple period pastiche and sounds utterly fresh for 2015, a bonafide club hit that is already peppering the sets of DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Tensnake and The Magician. As the title suggests the EP’s 2nd track ‘The Sun Does Rise’ is the natural successor to the duo’s previous outing. As deep as the Pacific Ocean this is a trance inducing hymn to hope, music designed to elevate the soul as much as move the body and bring some much needed warmth back to clubland. Expect to hear this played everywhere and anywhere this year where the party goes through the night and the first morning light breaks over the dancefloor. Recorded in the famous Vantage Point Studios in Antwerp - dEUS’s own recording studio, a special, inspiring moment for Maxime, a lifelong fan of the band - the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP cements his position as one of Europe’s most talented producers and with remixes to come soon on Carl Craig’s Planet E and more original material on Exploited, the future is looking bright for Compuphonic.
