The trees’ shadows stretch, feasting on the last rays of light The early bird settles his nest and the night owl sends his first cry A mysterious sound echoes across the thicket A rattle somewhere far, it moves under the moss. Funny Valentine Reinterpretation

With this EP I combined musical influences from my past and my present to create something I can truly identify with. Both tracks are reinterpretations of Jazz standards from the 1940s. Samples from original and modern versions of the songs, supported with a proper kick, make an attempt to redefine old standards through an energetic and electronic style; melting old with new, organic with electronic. A style somewhere between Jazz and Techno.

Lalala

This piece's roots come from Lala Land’s theme melody. The break down features the utterly beautiful piano solo played by main character, Sebastian. Hearing this melody, Mia enters the bar and falls in love right away. „Lalala“ tries to capture that feeling by opposing a straight-forward groove to the calm and dreamy mid-part of the track.

Runse

This track was inspired by „Colours“ from Pete Josef. Sounds and samples from the original track fuse with falling water drop and gurgling sounds. The title „Runse“ (German for „gully“) refers to the traces in land left from water currents' erosive nature, an effect that formed landscapes over thousands of years. Thanks to Pete Josef for the inspiration, thanks to nature for all the beautiful sounds!
