This (poorly executed) piece is a tribute to all the great pianists I've heard so far on SoundCloud, to name but a few:
@The Awakened Soul (Apo Malo) - Congratulations on "Sound Clouder of the Day"!
@dark_barcelona (Shauna-Kay Hamilton)
@Oliver-Sadie (Oliver VON LANDSBERG-Sadie if you please! =P )
Sorry if I missed anybody out, I'm not that bright that I can remember more than two names at once =P
Ut ridentibus adrident, ita flentibus adflent
humani vultus.Si vis me flere, dolendum est
primum ipsi tibi: tum tua me infortunia laedent,
Telephe vel Peleu; male si mandata loqueris,
aut dormitabo aut ridebo.
With those that smile, our face in smiles appears;
With those that weep, we burst into tears.
If you wish me to weep, you yourself must first feel grief.
So I shall feel your sorrows like my own,O Peleus or Telephus!
But if your language is not suitable for the circumstances,I'll sleep, or smile
A short tribute to the fantastic Sadzoo by David Barclay ( @Barclaybunch ) which I enjoyed very much for it's oddness! =D I think Sadzoo should be a new genre, so I've put that in genre, everyone should be forced to make at least one Sadzoo piece!
I've been meaning to commit myself to a 'Final' version of this for some time, and stop fiddling with it. While I'd like to do more with it I feel I still have too much to learn yet =) Thanks once again to everybody who offered help, advice, and encouragement on this, I learnt a lot about music, but also a lot about the kindness of SoundClouders =)
Music inspired by the original story of The Little Mermaid (Den Lille Havfrue) by Hans Christian Anderson. Title an obvious play on La Petite Fille De La Mer, with Sorcière being Witch =) I also took inspiration from the psychedelic ambient soundscapes of Inaiya (Sel Hussain - http://soundcloud.com/inaiya/sets/psychedelic-ambient/ ) Thanks for listening =D
