About a couple years ago, a close friend of mine named David once told me that you can never replace real life human interaction. Although vague, from what I remember the conversation stemmed from talking about social networks and how heavily invested we get into them; to how some people to a degree disown reality and turn to the internet to mask their lack of external gratification.
It's kinda true though, but for some reason I think that even though we can't really talk face to face, we can still connect with each other here on the internet. Whether it be through these pixelated words you're seeing now, a video or through a song or a photo. It doesn't rival a real life discussion, but the internet does serve as great place to connect in some way, shape or form.
Speaking of connection, I dunno about you, but I really like inspiring conversations. I can't really deal with small talk and I usually never engage in conversation without purpose so when an inspiring convo reveals itself, the switch turns on and my body is ready. The long, drawn out, timeless discussions about life, space, ideas and the future are seriously magnetic!
Maybe it's just me. They don't happen too often, but when an inspiring conversation serendipitously shoots me in the feels, it's like the entire universe lends me it's energy to create a spirit bomb of awesome. I'm just saiyan.
Upon finalizing this project, we're slowly beginning to understand what collaboration is (or should be) about.
The concept is so simple yet complex I can't really wrap my mind around it yet but... the metaphorical fog is definitely clearing up and it's not as scary as it once was. It's safe to say we're a little more open to opportunity, but only when it kindly knocks instead of spooking us out haha.
We're all aiming to achieve our own specific goals in life, "I'm Coming Too" suggests we all work together as an epic platoon to reach them. It's a motivational feel train that you can witness pass by or climb aboard if you so choose. It's apple pie with ice cream. It's a hand reaching out to lift you to the top of the mountain. It's a song that makes me feel happy and I'm nervous hoping it makes you feel the same way.
The amount of support we've been blessed with this past week blew our minds. To the handful of people who bought ♕ shirts and joined the Kawaii Senpai Club, to those new to us who were introduced through our friend Nick and to everyone who thought Infinity was worth getting, although an understatement, thank you for everything.
It's so strange. Even though we're cooped up in this house...even though we invest all of our time alone...I don't feel lonely one bit.
...and it's all thanks to you
