1. The Destination

The Destination

The 3rd climbing carnival, here in Crete, is history.....The success of it................................great. After the 1st (climbing carnival) "Unknown Destination" and the 2nd "Destination Known" ......................now it’s the 3rd, "The Destination" to be added in history. Everyone had a great time and gathered a lot of good memories. For more than 5 days more than 100 people including 21 different nationalities enjoyed the scenery and the amazing climbing here in Agiofaraggo, one of the best climbing areas here in the island of Crete. Was it the music around the fire? , or the party that lasted till the morning? , or maybe the community that it was created in the riverbed for all these days. I think it’s all that......and it all comes down to us, people who coexisted for all these days, helping each other with dinner, climbing together, having fun and get to know each other better. With only 10 days prior to the party and most of them rainy!!! I tried to film as much editing material as possible. Thanks to my friends and coclimbers I managed to gather all this amazing material and i was ready to EDIT.... Thomas gave me some great songs of his which gave the video its own character. Aristoteles helped me by directing me with a small scenario in his mind. If only we could have a few more days to shoot. THIS VIDEO IS WHAT WE DELIVERED FOR THE "FILM SCREENINGS" NIGHT ON THE 2ND OF JANUARY. Shot on: AF-101 & Canon 7D with a bunch of primes and zooms Edited in: Premiere Pro & After Effects Titling/Animations: 3Ds Max

No Ordinary Destination / Lapland - The North of Finland

Finnish Lapland is the extraordinary region on the northern edge of the world. It's a land full of extremes. When it's quiet, it's dead silent. When it's light, it's light 24/7. And when it's dark, it's dark for week after week. Lapland and northern Finland are among the world's last wildernesses, which you can experience with the help of modern infrastructure and a wide range of services. Our attraction is the wilderness that makes every other place feel ordinary. 5. LAX Data Cloud, L.A. Airport: The Next-Generation Destination Board

LAX Data Cloud, L.A. Airport: The Next-Generation Destination Board

The Destination Board is the next-generation flight information board in the new Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport. For this giant LED display, we created the Data Cloud – a permanent, real-time, generative artwork that’s viewed by millions of passengers every year. The Data Cloud uses RSS feeds to harvest wind, temperature and precipitation data from Los Angeles and LAX destination cities, and transforms this information into flowing organic forms that evoke waves, clouds and topographies. Tied into the airport’s flight information system, the Data Cloud selects cities to display from the list of upcoming outbound flights. One side of the display is always rooted in Los Angeles, while the other reflects data from destinations around the world. It’s a mesmerizing take on where passengers are, where they’re going, and where they can dream of travelling next. Dark Sky Alqueva - The First Starlight Tourism Destination in the World

This time lapse sequence shows the beauty of the night sky as a world heritage of the human kind, making the perfect connection with Earth elements from the vantage point of Alqueva region, in Alentejo Portugal. A place that was created to preserve the darkness of the sky that only our ancestors had access few hundred years ago. The "Dark Sky® Alqueva" (darkskyalqueva.com) reserve, was created also thinking in the two thirds of the worlds population that never had the opportunity to observe with their naked eyes, the stunning views of our own Galaxy...the impressive presence of the Milky Way against a starry sky of about 4500 stars, suspended in each half of our celestial sphere! Alqueva is the first site in the world to receive the “Starlight Tourism Destination” certification. This certification, awarded by the Starlight Foundation is supported by UNESCO, UNWTO and IAC. Starlight destinations are visitable places characterized by excellent quality for the contemplation of starry skies, and the practice of tourist activities based on this resource. The region of the Great Lake Alqueva in Alentejo, Portugal is a wonderful place to see the stars, constellations and distant galaxies such as the Milky Way. The unique characteristics of the night sky with a very low rate of light pollution, in the municipalities of Alandroal, Reguengos, Monsaraz, Mourão, Barrancos, Portel and Moura ensure the ideal conditions for an excellent observation of the dark sky. In Alqueva the sky has good atmospheric conditions for stargazing most of the year. Such skies are disappearing in Europe, where most of the population has no longer the privilege to observe an unpolluted sky. Its low level latitude (38degN), minimal light pollution and impressively clear skies provide the astronomy beginner and the expert with unparalleled opportunities to explore the magic and mystery of the night sky. For the beginner the clarity of the night sky (average of 286 clear nights a year) makes it easier to recognize all the constellations, identify the stars and even spot some deep sky objects with the naked eye. Telescopes and binoculars are also available at key locations to enhance the visual experience and expert guides are on hand to provide information and advice. For the more experienced observer and expert deep sky objects (galaxies, nebulas and star clusters) are visible down to 52 deg south declination. The low light pollution and clarity of the sky provides a unique opportunity to observe the dimmest deep sky objects and to see the moon and planets in sharp focus. Astrophotography too can be pursued successfully and dramatically here. 11. Maria & Shaun's Destination Wedding on the Cote d'Azure, French Riviera

Maria & Shaun's Destination Wedding on the Cote d'Azure, French Riviera

Maria and Shaun’s stunning destination wedding in the South of France would be a fitting culmination to their equally dramatic courtship. It all began with a chance encounter during a study abroad program in Paris; Shaun by way of New York and Maria by way of Milan. A friendship that began in the most romantic city on the planet blossomed into love just days before the two were set to return home, leaving their future as uncertain as the first act of a big screen Bollywood romance. But the two stayed connected and endured a long distance relationship spanning two continents that eventually cemented their love. France would become a nostalgic centerpiece to their international love story, setting the stage not only for their first meeting but Shaun's eventual marriage proposal. The Cote d’Azur, literally ‘blue coast,’ the picturesque Mediterranean coastline known as the French Riviera, would thus be the ideal wedding destination to bring together friends and family from across the US, India, Europe, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Middle East. Nestled in the quiet fishing village of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the couple chose the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild to serve as the backdrop for their gorgeous wedding ceremony, a breathtaking seaside villa with sprawling gardens and fountains built in 1905. The weekend was kicked off with a stylish welcome reception at La Voile d’Or, a chic boutique hotel overlooking the luxurious yachts and sailboats dotting the azur waters. From a stroll through the medieval cobblestone walkways of the charming hilltop village Eze, Maria and Shaun couldn’t resist a jaunt along the rugged coastline as the French often do, on a Vespa, speeding between the cypress trees and limestone cliffs of the lush peninsula. Maria and Shaun also seized an opportunity to celebrate their love of Italian fashion, donning looks by Roberto Cavalli and Prada. The five day solo shoot also spanned two continents, from New York to the South of France, and was another intense production in a series with only a single shooter. JEKKA - What's The Final Destination?

Jekka’s new video unravels digital culture and VR environment. The distortion of reality, disintegration of information and meaning, the limits questioned by the low-pitched voice - What’s the final destination? What’s your liberation? The story is based on the transformation of visuals with digital tools: from a clean studio portrait, white on white, light with light, through graphics and graffiti technique a virtual image is drawn by an invisible hand and is gradually destroyed to pixels, noise, using glitch, digital effects and warping the file. Новое видео JEKKA про про цифровую культуру и VR пространство. Преломление реальности, расщепление информации и смысла, предел, о котором спрашивает измененный до неузнаваемости голос — What is the final destination? What's your liberation?
