Every year, the Hors Pistes festival of the moving image comes up with an interdisciplinary programme that takes some socially significant topic as its theme. A topical theme that is arousing feelings in the world, a theme only too often sorrowful. Hors Pistes this year takes its inspiration from the words of writer and artist Fabrice Reymond: “Lined up on the quay are those allowed to watch us leave and they become what we do too: black silhouettes on the horizon, stitched between heaven and earth.”

Black Sun Empire
“The Veil Feat. Noisia” b/w “Catalyst Feat. Pythius”
The Blackout train has well and truly left the station already in 2017, and with the year’s debut single from Black Sun Empire featuring collaborations with Noisia and Pythius the momentum that is being gathered so early is bordering on frightening.
BSE have delivered another beautifully constructed single that blends the tough sound fans are used to with Noisia’s brains and Pythius’ brawn. The depth of knowledge and talent in tandem with BSE’s creative capacity makes the single just the adrenaline shot the scene needed to jump start the year. “The Veil” takes a more scaled back approach by pushing its energy through a souled out bassline, whilst Pythius’ influence can be heard in “Catalyst” as it swings violently, yet gracefully, through a string of hot tempered breaks.
The great news is that this is not just a single release, but the prologue to an epic journey that Black Sun Empire are to embark upon in 2017, with the group stating recently:
“we’re excited to announce we’ve been working on our next album and we’re almost finished, can’t wait to tell everyone more about it soon”
As a statement this is incredible news, as many fans and peers have been waiting for a BSE longplayer for a while. However, when you look at “The Veil”/”Catalyst” as the hors d’oeuvre and appetiser, the main course is guaranteed to attain Michelin star status.
The Ambassador (@Ambassador215) drops the first single, produced by @GeedaBaby, from his June release: the "Hors D'Oeurves" EP, due out on @XistMusic. "Flame On", his full-length project will be in stores in October 2013.
Kate and Marie may have initially met comfort eating all the hors d’oeuvres at a party in Brooklyn, but their conversation soon turned to the instruments they each played. They are the hilarious duo behind the musical comedy band Reformed Whores.

Rest! Music invites to the table and presents the debut of their compilation series "Restaurant"
A delicious 3 course menu of deephouse, slomo funk and disco invites the guest.
For a starter Tobias Dziapko and Christian Tuscherer aka Morgenklang place the
hors d'oeuvre on the spot outside and have a fluffy picnic. "Green & Blue" swings
with warm chords through the green grass and seduces with irresistable funk for a dance under the clear blue sky. Deephouse a la haute cuisine.
The next course is gonna be served by Superloader. Herb LF and Cassique, the makers of the netlabel supafeed.net, choke the tempo down to slomo house and present with "Walk with me!" a hypnotic dubby builder with good old Prescription Records wink inclusive.
Discoshit (Herb LF & Phil Decker) let the closing buffet fly in by aliens. Imported warp basslines from distant galaxies wed with earthly disco to "Strangers", which makes its direct way to the dancefloor with spoken words and sugarhill hook.
Something for you mind, your body and your soul!
The vinyl edition features additionally a pinch of exotic spices in form of 3 locked grooves.
Save the vinyl!
