Tom Robbins on Jitterbugs | Blank on Blank

If I knew how it was going to end, I probably wouldnt write it.\r- Tom Robbins in 1994, as told to Tod Mesirow\r\rTom Robbins, author of classics like Still Life of Woodpecker, Jitterbug Perfume, and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, takes us inside the mind of a writer whod prefer writing with a raven quill dipped in lizard blood. For many, including tons of college students, Robbins transported readers to another world where it seemed possible that enormously oversized thumbs could bring you happiness, and romance could take place inside a pack of cigarettes. Where do these fantastic stories begin?\r\rWe present outtakes from a previously unheard interview Robbins did with Tod Mesirow back in 1994 for a film about authors that was never made. In thisof Blank on Blank, Robbins dreams about a nurse serving him tequila sunrises when hes 85, why he took a two-by-four to typewriter and works in pen and paper, how his first attempts at writing began when he was five and a story about a pilot stuck on a deserted island, and how he pours over every word in his books 30 or 40 times. \r\rColorful chatter from Tom Robbins = made for animation. \r\rTom Robbins Quotes\rId like to go back to the Raven quill, ually, dipped in lizard blood or something. Write on orange butcher paper.\rWhen Im 80 years old, 85, hopefully, Ill be pushed around in a wheelchair by a red-headed nurse with panty outline. Shell make me little tequila sunrises and Ill read my complete works then. \rI owned an electric Remington [typewriter] briefly, but we had a turbulent relationship. It made so much noise, it hummed all the time, it was like it was looking over your shoulder, egging you on\rTheres not a word in one of my books that hasnt been gone over 25, 30, 35, 40 times. I read every sentence over and over again and rework it, not particularly looking for a more shining truth, but looking for the right rhythm.\rWords on a page can hypnotize you if the rhythm is right.\rI dont work from an outline. Ekaterina Polischuk - I Am Your Angel

Please talk to me when sadness full your heart, Please call me when somebody hurts you down, When you are upset, even crying start, When put on black and fearful, awful gown. Please ask my help when your dreams will be broken, When you decide to go another way. Remember me, the words that have been spoken, I can you warm, I always say "Please, stay! " I always stop before you`ll do a foul, I`ll give my hand to keep your mind for you. I am your Angel and your happy soul… I`ll send you words that I have ever knew. I never let you be forever lonely, I never push you if you go on blade. I`ll help you fly when you are falling slowly, When to be saved is really too late. I`ll help to run away from evil`s thought, I`ll give you love and kindness of my heart. I`ll be your friend like God my soul taught, I live for you and am your spirit part. Hannah Unknownnnnnn - True Love Forever

As you got down on one knee, I didn’t know you wanted me, I couldn’t say a thing, But looking at the ring, I knew I didn’t love you, I couldn't get the words out as they usually do, You saw my face, You thought a lovely embrace, You still on the ground, Me looking around, It finally came out, No I must have shout, You turned your head, I thought you were dead, We sat there, Things were still everywhere, I wanted to change my mind, But I couldn’t so I left you behind, Now you are really in love, You call her your morning dove, I new you weren’t in love with me, I look at you two and I see, True love forever, You will never part ever, Hannah Unknownnnnnn http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/true-love-forever/

Elizabeth Walker - Sir

I built fortress walls so strong They blocked out the sun You waltzed right in and made me come undone I never looked back i took your hand and went Every word you said to me i knew you meant New life everyday like baby's first breath Now that its ended i fell six feet to my death You cant take back what was said The words engraved forever on my soul I could search a lifetime and never find the same control Why must you be so perfect and so out of reach? I wish we were still dreaming of sunbathing on the beach Everyday you will inhabit the thoughts weighing heavy on my mind Each memory lingers long enough to give me a memory so unkind For i shall not be yours again a lost Princess i will remain Maybe one day eventually these feelings will finally wane. Issah Osumanu - A year Ago Today....WE STILL FEEL AND MISS YOU! ! !

Salutations to the One Above Who taught me all i knew Who feed me with the wisdom spoon Whom i would be reuniting with later or soon... Salutations to the Man Who held me close and wiped my tear The one who smiled while i pulled his beard The one who for me was always there... Blessings and Mercies be upon The one who showed me the way... The way to his Master who will always be... The one who would always listen To all i have and want to say 'God is our creator and our provider And if you want to ask, ask him If you feel scared and afraid, supplicate to him', These words he always said to me.... Words are precious and priceless Use them well, never abuse them Be generous with your money But it would be wiser to be a miser... with your words For money spent may be gone, forever But words once said, will linger in minds forever These were the words of my FATHER.... As we CELEBRATE your DEMISE And your uniting with our Lord in Heaven It's been a YEAR TODAY... But the Good Lord has been kind and Merciful As always....Just as you had trusted us in his care Before you Left..... We miss YOu and Pray for YOu May Allah reward you with the best Abode In the Garderns Of Paradise... Till we finally meet again... Jessica Denise Wesley - ' I Am Remembering Love'

Looking back on our journey It was so REAL, the beginning was so amazing But neither of us knew it would be tears we would be facing I swear I sit and cry, when I think about how intimate we were The subtraction of sex leaves long kisses and hugs, words of stanza That anyone could adore I would trade my heart in for that feeling, just once more Just to feel you breathe on my neck Just to hear your laugh again Enjoy your words of a world above your own Our poetry together made the perfect LOVE JONES But I was so high on you, your short coming to my heart Couldn't never bring me down Who cares if he doesn't SEE me, my concious would say He has his way to con my smile Who cares if he cracked your heart After a long fly across the SEA His mind so confused, he should have known not to fight his heart Never counted on me to leave I just wish that he knew that I wasn't trying to touch his heart I was yearning for an unobstructed entrance to his soul I was there for an indefinite bliss, never to restrain the actions Of his heart about other people, I only dreamed to be His LOVE, radically distinctive! Now I am crying because I gave him a second chance And he voided mine without review He turned a blind eye towards my innocent desire to become closer It made me wonder and sent me to a one night encounter of a warm shoulder Now I have a swollen belly A child I will have to explain this story, I would say Never let anything get the best of you, keep a heart of steel Remember I will always be there for you, especially when love decides to kill It will never hurt forever, you know Your tears will water the ground But LOVE will always have a special in your heart, THAT ANJELIC BEATING SOUND.......... I don't know how this goes I don't what to say To tell myself i'm wrong, and forever feel this pain I know that this will hurt you, but there is no other way To tell that your greatest fear, is here with me today If you hate me after this i will understand, but i can not change who i am All these feelings for those that you instructed me to hate, have turned to love that i live with everyday Maybe someday i will tell you about my endless shame, but for now i'll just sit here living with this pain I love them both as you guessed before, i feel like you read my mind when you said what you said But now i know that you always knew, you just hid it very well Maybe when i'm older i'll be freed from my pain, but i know that it will stay with me forever all my days I can not change what i was born with, i feel so confused right now I wish that you were here tell where i where i'm wrong, but i know that i'll just say i'm not Does anyone else feel so alone, does anyone else feel like nobody care's If my darling is there with you, tell that i love her and hope she love's me too I've felt love once before, it's gone now by your own doing I have felt it since, but now it's a fadeing memory I hope these words will wound your heart, like you have wounded mine I loved you once but thats gone, my hatred towards you will never end You killed my heart, my love, my peace, my soul, this never ending trama I will end this someday soon, you will never see me smile again This was for you, my life writen on the screen The one who thought the most to me for a time, the one who loved me first My first teacher, my first mentor, my ex-bestfriend My Mother Helen Hanson http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-can-t-change/

Hriata Sailo - To My Best Friend

So many thought crosses my mind, sitting in front of this table. I look for the stars, and a million twinkle. I look around my hostel room, many friends are around But no other friends are quite like you, none I've found. I close my eyes; pictured our moments together And smile along, with the memories full of joy and laughter. You used to rubbed the board, when I wrote your name with a chalk You never got mad, caused you knew it was just a joke. With you my friend, I felt like a real poet Cause you valued all my worthless poems, and praised for it. I know all my secrets, will be save with you forever Like our friendship, that would last forever. Sorry for all the harms, by harsh words I've spoken If it were not you, our friendship would sure be broken. You always stand beside me, correct what I've done wrong Cause my friend you are brave, faithful and strong. Now my friend, with distances we may be apart But know that I always love you from the starts. Soon we'll be meeting, and our friendship will come to light Till our last breath, lets hold our friendship strong and tight. Hriata Sailo http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/to-my-best-friend-27/

Marcus Roe - Why I Sing

Hollow emotions enter my twisted mind I'm out of thoughts, left with wasted time. People point and stare as they pass me by I'm a lost soul, let me tell you why. Numbness covers my bloodless veins I'm so hurt that I feel no pain. You can punch me with your piercing words but taking me from your heart hurts worse. Summer falls upon me once again I'm breaking here without my dear friend. She always knew what to say and I won't let that go she will always be my beautiful wilted rose. Back to spring with rain that never stops So many internal twists and turns I got myself lost. I fell for a girl, my wife to be if you’re reading this, I love how you lie to me. Lets walk back to winter with her frozen truths Heated by fixation I miss being bruised Beaten by thoughts and hate filled glances I miss my Juliet, Romeo by himself sounds so tragic. Fall rolls down softly like dying leaves Air so thick with sorrow, I can barely breathe. I needed someone so I tore open my heart she was my star that burned out leaving things dark. My simple story ends here but unlike it, I can not disappear. Forever I'll remain stationary with my broken wings I'm the caged bird, now you know why I sing. Rachel Fogle - My Lover & My Friend

Never have I known someone whom gives me peace such as this. With him I feel alive in away no words even find such bliss. And even when we part and its time for him to leave. Still I feel him with me, ever fleeting, every kiss. My lover & My friend a new way for me. A moment in my life in which I feel free beyond all years. There are times when I linger and guilt leads me astray. Then I remember him laughing or holding what we share. There is beauty that you see when you look out-side your door. There is comfort that we find in things that mean little when you need more. Yet there is beauty that one finds that goes beyond heart and mind. There is comfort that we share that can never be equaled or compared. Every moment I share with him, Gives me so much more then I knew. And even when its over, My life will still feel anew. It will pain me to let him go. For he brings such peace to my heart. But my Jay bird is like an eagel that forever flies in his heart and mine. To hold him would hinder his purpose in this world. For in his years he has learned things, That allows his journey to continue on. He has felt all the harseness in this world that make other men weak. He has stepped upon the circle of life that most don't this soon reach. And yet he still finds passion and love in moments that bring us joy. He finds a reason to keep on living with the love of his child that gives him his voice. Most would think me crazy for allowing him to touch my heart. But at the end of this journey, I will have known a passion and understanding that neither will ever part. He will be a memory and a whisper forever with me each day. Because in him I found answers that I needed and never could ask the questions in the end. Rachel Fogle http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-lover-my-friend/

Kelsea Osterman - Red Faced Child

As I walked down the hallway I stopped a little astray. I heard a faint little cry and was going to hurry on by, But when I heard the faint whispers of 'Why did you go'. I slowly walked to where you were. When you looked up I saw the tears That were slowly streaming down your face. I stopped... and looked really closely and seen who you really were. You were the one that I heard about the hour before last. You were the red faced child, the one who lost it all. I walked up to you and wrapped an arm around you. You and I never knew each other before, but now as you cry in my arms I see that I do really know you I know you because I know your pain. The questions you ask yourself over and over again, The hurt that you would forever feel. I knew because I have been there. I still ask myself why did you leave me all alone. I have looked for the answer but have yet to find it. 'You'll be fine, everything will be fine.' I say these words to you, the same way my father said them to me. When she left me. I was never fooled I knew I would never see her again. I knew I would never get to say 'I love you mommy' again. As you cry in my arms I slowly pull away from you and say, 'You'll never get completely over this but believe me I'll help you through it.' You smiled a little and thanked me. As you walk away a picture flashes in my mind. There I was a little girl again. I watched astonished as you, my mother, my only mother walked through the door. I ran to you and flung my arms around you and I cried. 'Do not worry baby I'll never leave you again.' Those were the words you said to me. That was the promise that I knew would not last forever. But really I was expecting it to last longer than a day. Kelsea Osterman http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/red-faced-child/

Artist city, country: Aarhus, Denmark Artist Biography: Some say ‘perception is reality’. Some say ‘make believe’. But why cover things up? You probably never heard of Broadway Killers. How could you? The radios never played their songs, their videos never went viral and the band is definitely not part of any hype, wave or trend. With 1690 fans on Facebook, less than 130 followers on Twitter and a reality stating that the tours barely go around Broadway Killers is not the “next big thing”. It all starts as a side project late 2010. Without any intensions of creating the revolutionary, Emil, Anders and Jakob decide to go back to their musical roots. With bands like Nirvana, Social Distortion, Pearl Jam in mind, they create a sound that states their belief that real music is being played by real people – with the flaws that follow. Despite the band’s current status as unknown, Broadway Killers has won international acclaim from within the scene. Founder and bass player of Bad Religion describers the band as “the best new band out there right now”, lead singer of the American punk band Anti-Flag, Justin Sane, is appearing on the album and Broadway Killers has opened for Bad Religion, Anti-Flag and one of the most successful German rock bands, Beatsteaks. After releasing three EPs in one year the fan base showed extraordinary dedication and made it possible to crowdfund the debut album, “Broadway Killers”, which is to be released August 25th 2014. A ten track and 28 minutes long record that sounds like three people playing fast, aggressive and melodic punk rock. “I don’t want to attach fine superlatives to our music. I let people do that. Our goal with this record is to clarify our belief in solid song writing, simplicity and the fact that three people can still make a difference with just a guitar, a bass and a drum kit. The world doesn’t stop turning because this album hit stores, but hopefully it will show that The Jam didn’t live for nothing” – Jakob Thalund Møller, lead singer Broadway Killers. The future for Broadway Killers has already begun. Right now the band is once again on the road with Bad Religion and in November they will go on a seven days Germany tour in the Gibson Tour bus. A tour they won after winning an international music battle hosted by Gibson Guitars, Sellaband and DMAX-TV. There would forever be a Before those words, and an After. Pregnant with her own child, Sabina can’t understand how a mother could abandon her daughter, or why her parents have kept the past a secret. Determined to find the woman who gave her away, what she discovers will change everything, not just for Sabina, but for the women who have loved her all these years. From the bestselling author of Me Without You comes another touching, beautifully told story about the pain of separation and the enduring strength of love. Find out what readers are saying about Kelly Rimmer ‘This book got under my skin and I think it'd be the same for many other people - You don't need to like romance books, you just need to want to read books that are about people, that have simple but incredibly important stories.’ Petit Moi ‘I fell in love with this amazing book after the first sentence and would read it all over again. A wonderful mixture of emotions, real love, secrets, laughter and sadness. If you want a gripping and touching story, here it is, read it now!’ Sky’s Book Corner ‘What a heartbreaking, tearful, emotional read with scenes that are traumatising, hilarious and in many more scenes inspiring. Brad Pitt Devastated by Deaths of Chris Cornell and Brad Grey

Brad Pitt has had a rough few days dealing with the passing of his good friends, Brad Grey and Chris Cornell. A source told E News that Brad is devastated and in shock and he’s trying to process the loss of two great friends. The source went on to say that Pitt was one of the few people who knew Grey was sick and aware that he only had a few weeks to live… but he didn’t even get that long. Pitt and Cornell, who was found dead in the bathroom of his hotel room at the MGM Grand Detroit, were longtime friends who’d spent time together with some of their children. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office has issued a statement saying that Cornell’s cause of death has been determined as hanging by suicide. Brad has yet to publically address the tragedies, but our hearts go out to him as he deals with this difficult time. Hopefully he can stay on the straight and narrow.
