Best Hip-Hop Dance Ever

Hip Hop dance includes a wide range of "street dance" styles that are associated with the Hip Hop culture born in New York City in the mid-'70s. Traditionally, the original dance of Hip Hop was Breaking, which was the predominant style from the 1970s until the mid-'80s. Beginning in the Bronx, Breaking spread worldwide via movies such as Wild Style, Beat Street and Breakdance - The Movie, as well as through tours like the New York City Rap and Wild Style Tours, which showed off the new culture and dance styles in the 80s. Originally performed to Funk and Rock "breaks", the music was more up-tempo and lent itself to what the dancers would refer to as "going off". “The intertwined nature of the DJs and MCs trying to keep the dancers moving on the dance floor with innovations in music as well as the efforts of the dancers to “one up’ each other contributed to flexible and organic creativity.” Dancers like Buddha Stretch, Link, Loose Joint, Shaik, Rosie Perez, Peter Paul, Scoob and Scrap and others were at the forefront of what was happening and were considered pioneers of this new style. Different groups were formed and many danced for music artists of the time.Modern shows like America’s Best Dance Crew, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, and movies like Save The Last Dance, You Got Served, and the Step Up series further popularized urban movement to younger dancers, but depicted underground Hip Hop culture in a way that was more packaged, for the screen. Because of the way the term was used in movies and shows, we started to see “Hip Hop” dance classes in studios teaching “Hip Hop” choreography (that was more ballet, modern, and jazz-based than Hip Hop based). ALEXANDRA STARLIGHT performs the song "LOVE AIN'T EASY" for BalconyTV. Subscribe to us right now at http://bit.ly/15yj4oc 'Like' us on Facebook - http://Facebook.com/balconytv Follow us on Twitter - http://Twitter.com/balconytv PRESENTED BY JACK GLAZER PREVIOUS PROJECTS Alexandra Starlight got her start in the L.A. punk scene, first performing with Teenacide Records' The Holograms in 2004. Called "Bubblegum rock & roll for grrrl-power girls" by the LA WEEKLY, she joined the band as lead singer in support of their release "Night of 1000 Ex Boyfriends," produced by Blag Dahlia (The Dwarves) and Bradley Cook (Foo Fighters/The Ataris). The single "Are You Ready for It" was named one of the Coolest Garage Songs by Little Steven's Underground Garage column and charted on the top 10 Billboard Magazine garage rock chart hit. She then formed The Hollywood Harlots, which Sugarbuzz Magazine described as the "gritty spawn of The New York Dolls" blended with the "dirty girl appeal of Kim Fowley's young swagger street chicks-The Runaways." The Hollywood Harlots caught the attention of producer Jeff Saltzman (The Killers, The Sounds) at a raucous show at a French restaurant for Alexandra's "Iggy Pop-type" stage antics of pouring whiskey on her face, jumping onto diners' tables, eating their steaks and drinking their wine. She then recorded a demo EP with Jeff Saltzman. CURRENT PROJECT With her latest solo release, Alexandra & The Starlight Band, Alexandra Starlight has critics buzzing, hailing the gritty & sultry songstress as the new, 21st century Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. Along with CD, Alexandra & The Starlight Band is being released in a never-before-made combination of clear vinyl/rainbow glitter, each painstakingly custom made & hand numbered. Entirely crowd-funded, the release garnered an overwhelming response on the creative platform Kickstarter—resulting in over 205% funding and the limited edition 7" being nearly sold out, months before its release. For this recording, Alexandra Starlight worked at Henson Studios in Los Angeles alongside Bob Cutarella (Paul McCartney, Alice Cooper, Madonna, Joss Stone, Keith Richards), engineer Paul LaMalfa (Brian Wilson, Colbie Caillat, Sheryl Crow, Loretta Lynn, Mariah Carey), Kevin Mills (Michael Bublé, Tom Morello, Céline Dion, No Doubt, Bruce Springsteen, Velvet Revolver, Gwen Stefani) and Lena Horne's former band leader, Lou Forestieri (Tori Amos). Sonically, the 5 song EP presents a fresh spin on classic American music; hearkening back to the golden period in the 1970's when rock 'n' rollers were looking to the sounds of Motown, R&B, funk and soul for inspiration. In the swinging "Without My Sunshine," Starlight muses on the proverbial calm after navigating a stormy sea of heartache, with a bittersweet sense of gratitude, set to the sounds of gospel backing vocals and a classic Stax Records style horn section. Yet Starlight stands strong and never plays the victim; in the funky & heavy-hitting "T.T.M.F." she trash-talks her two-timing ex-lover, positioning herself as the victor in her own superhero-esque survivor theme song. The result is a collection of songs that are at once triumphant and vulnerable, introspective and searching, strong and sassy. Alexandra Starlight's live show matches the intensity of the songs, earning her a reputation as an artist to watch. She has performed for television & film, including the David Letterman Show, Fox 11 News' Good Day LA, and San Diego 6's "San Diego Living" and the ringing of the New York Stock Exchange closing bell with Ivanka Trump on CNN. She also was featured in Episode 4 Trailer of Smithsonian Channel's "L.A. Frock Stars", titled "Sequins & Sparkles for Alexandra Starlight: If This Dress Could Talk." She has also performed for film, in the Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Tour Documentary Intro alongside Elton John, Black Keys, Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, Gary Clark Jr., Johnny Depp, Corey Parks and others. http://www.alexandraband.com/ CREDITS / SPONSORS Producer / Talent Booker: Cindi Avnet Co-Producer/ Talent Booker: Leah Hobbs Cinematographer: Maggie Szabo Recorded by: James Schumacher Mixed by: Jeff Bates Admin: Atara Gottschalk PAs: Chloe Robinson, Lydia Reed Photography: Chloe Robinson Tune in again to BalconyTV //

Psychology of Human nature for Success in Hindi

Human Nature is an Australian harmony pop group, which formed in 1989, with Toby Allen, Phil Burton and brothers, Andrew and Mike Tierney. Originally they were a doo-wop group, the 4 Trax, while the members were schoolmates. After signing with Sony Music as Human Nature, they released their debut album, Telling Everybody, in 1996. Three of their albums have reached number one on the ARIA Albums Charts, Counting Down (May 1999), Reach Out: The Motown Record (November 2005) and Dancing in the Street: The Songs of Motown II (October 2006). Two other albums reached number two, Get Ready (November 2007) and Jukebox (October 2014). Their top 10 hits on the related ARIA Singles Chart are "Wishes" (October 1996), "Don't Say Goodbye" (March 1997), "Everytime You Cry" (duet with John Farnham, October 1997), "Don't Cry" (July 1999), "Eternal Flame" (October 1999), "He Don't Love You" (November 2000) and "When You Say You Love Me" (April 2004). Three of their albums received multi-platinum certification from ARIA, and four have received platinum, with a total shipment of over 1.6 million records in Australia, as of April 2011.[1] The group have toured both nationally and internationally including as a support act for Celine Dion on her Falling Into You Around the World Tour (March 1996, June 1997) and Let's Talk About Love World Tour (1998). They also opened for Michael Jackson on the HIStory World Tour (December 1996, early to mid-1997). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2006 they won Highest Selling Album for Reach Out: The Motown Record. In May 2009 they began a residency performing a Motown-themed show on the Las Vegas Strip and in April 2014 they completed their 1000th show.In 2008 Human Nature performed for the first time in the United States, with a two-month engagement at Atlantic City's Tropicana Casino. In April they performed with Mary Wilson on the Australian TV show, It Takes Two, where they sang two duets from their Get Ready album: "It Takes Two" and "River Deep, Mountain High". Sony issued a compilation box set, The Motor City Collection, on 19 April 2008 – to coincide with Wilson's duets – which peaked at No. 18.[12] The group teamed up with their previous producer Eliot Kennedy to record their ninth studio album, A Symphony of Hits, with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. It was released on 10 November 2008, which peaked at No. 10.[12] Adam Greenberg of AllMusic explained that "[t]he vocals are consistently strong, though they are undeniably of the boy band variety. There's melodramatic emotion pumped into everything here. While it works well for some of the ballads (the Bangles' 'Eternal Flame' in particular comes off well), it can seem a little much for the bouncier tracks."[69] They followed in mid-December with three performances at the Sydney Opera House fronting the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Guy Noble.[70] They also performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Melbourne (February 2009), and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in Perth (February–March).[71][72] In May 2009 Human Nature became the second Australian group to have a residency on the Las Vegas Strip (The Four Kinsmen were the first, from 1996)[73] when they began a year-long engagement at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino.[74] At the premiere of the show, Smokey Robinson Presents: Human Nature, Robinson told Las Vegas Weekly reporter, Robin Leach, that "They were bigger than the Beatles in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. I’ve never met four harder working, finely tuned singers. They are set to become major stars here now, and I'm proud to present them in Vegas."[74] On 12 December they returned to Australia for a homecoming show with Robinson and Jessica Mauboy at the Wyndham Estate winery in the Hunter Region.[75] In May 2010 the Imperial Palace extended the group's engagement by two years, and also renamed their venue, as Human Nature Theatre. Las Vegas mayor, Oscar Goodman, also decreed that 11 May 2010 is to be known as Human Nature Day.[76] Human Nature released their ninth studio album, Vegas: Songs from Sin City, in November 2010, which reached the ARIA top 30.[12] Vegas contains cover versions that are either about the city or have been performed by headliners past and present. It includes a duet with current Vegas headliner, Barry Manilow. On 27 November they performed two Elvis Presley covers, "A Little Less Conversation" and "Viva Las Vegas", complete with Vegas showgirls, on the final episode of Australian TV show, Hey Hey It's Saturday. They received a presentation award which coincided with their 21st anniversary of performing.[citation needed] In December 2010 the band embarked on the Direct from Las Vegas! Australian Symphony Tour where they visited five state capital cities and played with the associated state symphony orchestra.[71] Again, they worked with the Sydney, Melbourne, and West Australian Symphony Orchestras.[71] Also, for the first time, they performed with the Adelaide

IVY LIES (BalconyTV)

‪PRESENTED BY SIR-VERE BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH notourfuture.co.nz & ripitup.co.nz ‬ VY LIES are thrilled to confirm the title and release date of their eagerly anticipated debut album - LITTLE MIND GAMES. Two years in the making and spanning L.A and N.Z for production duties, LITTLE MIND GAMES was recorded in L.A with producer extraordinaire Clif Magness (Grammy Award winner and responsible for penning hits for Avril Lavigne & Kelly Clarkson), Clif recalls his time with the band "Working with Ivy Lies was fantastic... their songwriting and musicianship is top notch. It was a true pleasure working with them." The album is a dynamic collection of songs including the vibrant first single "Addicted" which was #1 on NZ iTunes alternative chart, #1 on MySpace Music Chart & it debuted at #3 on C4 to rave reviews and was also used as C4's promo song over summer 2010! Their 2nd Single "Never Enough" climbed up the chart steadily, the girls got to host the Edge's Top 40 show to debut the single's release. "I Lie Awake" their 3rd single was released to rave reviews and was the C4 'Record of the Week' & was in the top ten on iTunes. Their eagerly awaited 4th single "Highway" is going to be a sure fire hit with a great 'live' video documenting their tours. The Trio, originally from Christchurch (New Zealand), were formally under the name 'Starlett' while the girls were still at school. This is where the band caught the eye of SonyBMG, who then signed the band to a development deal, when they were only 17 years old. The band then moved up to Auckland in 2008 to hit the live circuit and integrate themselves in the local music scene. LITTLE MIND GAMES erupts with loud hooks, anthemic ballads and punchy pop energy. Emla Palmer (vocals / gat), Rosie (drummer) and Lisa Blatchford (bass / vocals) all equally contribute to the songwriting duties, with each band member submitting ideas for experimentation. Lisa says "Writing and recording this album was a lot of fun, it was such a buzz in LA and a privilege to write songs with Cliff, we gelled really well together." Raised on a musical diet of Jimmy Eat World, Ivy Lies have created their own distinctive style that has seen them requested for festivals and performances from recently supporting "You Me At Six" on the NZ leg of their world tour, the Coke Summer Beach Series Tour, The Edge Winter Jam (playing alongside B.O.B and J. Williams) and to the current School's Out For Summer Tour (with label mate Dane Rumble). Having spanned the length and breadth of New Zealand performing, IVY LIES are now adding the final touches on their own piece of musical history in the form of LITTLE MIND GAMES, lead singer Emla Palmer says "To finally have an album finished is a pretty good feeling. It's been a long haul but we got there." www.ivylies.co.nz www.myspace.com/ivylies ‪Tune in again!!!‬

Lady GaGa - New York, New York - Sinatra 100: An All-Star Grammy Concert CBS 2015

“May you live to be 100, and may the last voice you hear be mine” was one of Frank Sinatra’s most legendary quotes — one that’s currently doing double duty as the theme of a yearlong career retrospective celebrating the 100-year anniversary of his birth (December 12, 1915). But consider this sentiment also something of a challenge to the dozen-plus stars who dared to tackle some of his most iconic songs at a tribute filmed December 2 in Las Vegas for Sinatra 100: An All-Star Grammy Concert, set to air Sunday, December 6 on CBS at 9 p.m. Could some of pop’s biggest names possibly leave a memorable stamp on songs already so imprinted onto one set of pipes? The answer was yes, but only in certain instances. Sinatra embodied many personae in his nearly 75-year career — the crooner, the matinee idol, the well-connected Italian with rumored mob ties, the blue-eyed womanizer, the Jack Daniels–swilling rapscallion, the Vegas player — and often all at once. So the artists who were able to take on at least two or three of those attributes in their performances found the best results: Harry Connick Jr.’s almost-too-effortless “Luck Be a Lady” (upon flubbing the words in the third verse, Connick crowed, “And I don’t even drink!”), Seth MacFarlane’s booze-soaked “One for My Baby” (sung on an actual barstool), and Usher’s chewy “That’s Life” (complete with a flip of the bird and a hat-tossing key change). Most thrilling of all was Lady Gaga’s gender-bending “New York, New York,” for which the pop star donned her own take on Sinatra’s classic tux, hit on all the ginger-haired dancers (“Good to see ya, doll!”), and soft-shoed her way into the night. Others played it safer, opting to honor the legacy of Sinatra’s inimitable Capitol era (1953–1961) rather than the full arc of his legacy. Celine Dion and Tony Bennett trotted out their well-known covers of “All the Way” and “I’ve Got the World on a String,” John Legend made “Young at Heart” newly wistful, and Alicia Keys proved the effectiveness of stripping “I’ve Got a Crush on You” down to just a piano. Much more bold was Bono, who filmed a London performance of a song written for (and rejected by) Sinatra in the 1990s, an all-too-on-the-nose saloon ballad that was literally called “One Shot of Happy, Two Shots of Sad.” Several key members of pop’s new class appeared as well, and though they stayed more in their own artistic lanes, they still managed to evoke Ol' Blue Eyes’s spirit through their contemporary crooning. A prerecorded Sam Smith delivered a stunning “My Funny Valentine” that scaled notes octaves higher than Sinatra’s baritone could ever touch, while a white-jacketed Nick Jonas proved he could make other singers “Jealous” with an assured “In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning.” Juanes capably filled the meager Latin-music slot allotted for these kinds of affairs by paying homage to Sinatra’s work with Antonio Carlos Jobim on a trio of Brazilian love songs, a treatment bristled with the Colombian singer’s rock edge. Less praise should be reserved for Adam Levine, who sleepwalked through “The Best Is Yet to Come,” and an assortment of country stars who didn’t quite fit the bill. Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood turned in bland versions of “The Lady Is a Tramp” and “I”ll Be Seeing You,” while Zac Brown looked plain uncomfortable in a top hat tackling “Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered” and, later, “The Way You Look Tonight.” Only Carrie Underwood could evoke genuine chills with her “Someone to Watch Over Me,” which took on churchlike qualities in her hands. Though Sinatra 100 mostly adhered to the artists’ connections to the award show (the special is part of the Grammys' annual tributes to iconic artists, helmed by longtime producer Ken Ehrlich) and/or CBS (perpetual Grammy host and NCIS: LA star LL Cool J and Scorpion’s Katharine McPhee both appeared), it’s worth pondering what it could have looked like with a few extra doses of Sinatra’s Rat Pack snap. Noted Sinatra obsessives Jay Z and Justin Timberlake were both absent, as was Timberlake’s very own doting Dean Martin, Jimmy Fallon. Longtime Sinatra tribute act Michael Bublé was also a notable no-show, instead lending his more mom-friendly side to the Rockefeller Center tree lighting. Even Blake Shelton would have been a more fitting country choice than Brooks or Brown, were he not so closely associated with NBC’s The Voice. Still, in a year that’s already given us Alex Gibney’s excellent two-part HBO documentary Sinatra: All or Nothing at All, a Lincoln Center exhibit, a dance tribute in London, a takeover of his hometown of Hoboken, and a $500 limited edition of his Sinatra Select whiskey for Jack Daniel’s (which is exciting to me both as a whiskey-drinker and as someone who works with brands in the music space at MAC Presents), it’s generally great to see more new entry points into such a rich legacy that continues to find new relevance. As the 82-year-old Quincy Jones recalled Sinatra telling him once
