5. Italian Radio 1983

Italian Radio 1983

UPDATE: I see that https://www.reddit.com/user/cwg913 nailed it! The missing song is "WHO'S IN TROUBLE" by GRUPPO SPORTIVO. I'm surprised to find that the rest of the song is actually pretty decent. Wow everyone!!!! Thank you so much! Also, someone wrote an article about this http://24ilmagazine.ilsole24ore.com/2018/06/lagosto-del-1983-controradio/?refresh_ce=1 I'm stunned at the whole thing. For 30 years I’ve been trying to identify 51 songs. Only one remains. When I was ten years old, my family spent the summer in Italy. My mum brought a boombox. When my family were doing boring grown up things, I would sit around and tape songs I liked off Italian radio. I knew very little about music at the time, and my taste was all over the map. For your listening pain, here is the entire mixtape I made in 1983. I apologize for the segments where annoying 10 year me turns on the microphone and babbles. The track list, as it stands: 00:02 Nick Straker Band - You Know I Like It - 1983 01:42 Atlanta Rhythm Section - Spooky - 1979 01:44 Goldie Alexander - Show You My Love - 1981 01:51 The Vapors - Turning Japanese - 1980 04:41 Belle Stars - Iko Iko - 1982 05:05 Peter Gabriel - Shock the Monkey - 1982 06:28 Eric Burdon & The Animals - San Franciscan Nights - 1967 06:33 Residents - Amber (sped up from 33 to 45) - 1980 06:38 Heaven 17 - Come Live With Me - 1983 07:17 ????? 07:23 Yello - Stanztrigger - 1980 09:48 J C Lodge - Someone Loves You, Honey - 1982 10:03 George Harrison - My Sweet Lord - 1970 10:06 Steve Winwood - Valerie - 1982 10:12 Talking Heads - Pull Up The Roots - 1983 12:33 Landscape - Manhattan Boogie-Woogie - 1980 16:00 Peter Gabriel - Shock the Monkey - 1982 17:42 The Techno Orchestra - Lunatic Republic - 1982 18:20 Iron Maiden - The Trooper - 1983 22:10 Blacmange - On Our Way To - 1982 26:48 The Mothmen - Temptation - 1981 26:51 Michael Jackson - Thriller - 1982 27:37 George Harrison - I Really Love You - 1982 27:46 Men Without Hats - The Safety Dance - 1982 30:41 Medium Medium - Serbian Village - 1981 34:43 Booker T & The MG's - Grab Bag - 1977 34:45 Peter Gabriel - Shock the Monkey - 1982 37:21 Marco Ferradini - Lupo Solitario D.J. - 1983 37:24 Moebius - Mirror of Infinity - 1979 38:18 Nena - Kino - 1983 41:50 Robin Gibb - Juliet - 1983 44:40 Polyrock - Chains of Iron - 1982 45:11 The Hollies - Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress - 1972 45:36 Righeira - Vamos A La Playa - 1983 45:39 Stranglers - Pin Up - 1981 46:01 Ministry - Work For Love - 1983 49:36 Talking Heads - Moon Rocks - 1983 49:43 Phaeax - Talk About - 1983 52:37 Bobby 'Boris' Pickett & The Crypt-Kickers - Monster Mash - 1962 52:40 Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising - 1969 52:52 Talking Heads - Burning Down The House - 1983 53:05 Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising - 1969 53:14 Stone - Time (Instrumental) - 1981 53:21 Rolling Stones - It's Only Rock 'N' Roll - 1974 53:29 Kasso - Walkman - 1982 53:47 Falco - Der Kommissar - 1982 54:26 Frank Sinatra - My Way - 1969 54:29 Spanish Crash - Life Is Now - 1984 (1984?
