Only a few days ago I would have never imagined to be re-editing this track and many people were grossed out when I announced that I was working on it. I hope you dig dubby downtempo italo, because this is what it has become now!
Ok this is an old story that started as a bootleg edit while back. I remember that as soon as I uploaded the edit on soundcloud I got so many reactions I decided to take it offline immediately and put it out on 12" (200 copies only, but then the bootleg got bootlegged, crazy...) But it never got a proper "clean" release, although we tried hard to clear it.
So, after replaying everything (thanks to Silver City, Sean Brosnan and Bob Benozzo), new vocals (courtesy of Jupiter), a killer new remix (by Spiller) and a great dj and label owner (Joey Negro)
It's finally dropping on Z Records UK and I made a new dub mix for the occasion. Check it out.
This is Spiller's mix, sure to bring any floor down :)
In case you are unfamiliar with it: it's a Lio cover version
Another tacky number randomly drawn from my Italo-pop-edits folder:
RAFfaele Riefoli's Self Control
(previously heard on my live mix on FBI Radio - Sydney)
Back to my shameful mission of re-editing improbable Italian pop songs.
This time it's Gianni Morandi turn into the chopping machine... Sorry!!
Happy holidays y'all.
P.S. Original song written by Lucio Dalla and Mauro Malavasi.

Take a youth spent against a background of old Italian Giallo soundtracks, add in late 70s Italian disco influences, a touch of free and easy west-coast vibe and a smattering of kitsch. That just about half describes today's featured artist Bottin.
For Colors Magazine he curated the Color Music series, presented at the Sonar festival in Barcelona. For the Biennale of Venice he designed audio for Spanish Pavilion by Muntadas. Bottin’s seminal releases include “Fondamente Nove” on Eskimo Records (2008) and “No Static” for US label Italians Do It Better (2009), now considered classics of the nu disco genre.
PERSEO, the bootleg branch of Italian Do It Better has finally seen the light.
Here you can actually listen to my new swanky illegal remixes
