5. Giorgio Rusconi - Cosmic Vision

Giorgio Rusconi - Cosmic Vision

The Italian based Giorgio Rusconi makes his debut on Gregor Tresher’s Break New Soil imprint, serving up two peak-time techno blockbusters. Rusconi - who has made a name for himself with previous releases on labels such as Amazing Records, Audio Elite and Diva Records is known for his uncompromising, cutting edge Techno sound. ‘Kepler’ is no exception to that approach. A tough groove, backed by an enormous bass drum marches forward, while the looped melody patterns keep the energy flowing. The well-structured break downs and crisp hats will provide maximum impact on a proper dancefloor near you. ‘Cosmic Vision’ takes us on an excursion into deep space. The sleek slow burner morphs tripped-out, effect filled pads with funk-driven percussion sounds. Going full throttle midway, after a mysterious voice starts leading the way.

7. Gregor Tresher - Nightcolors (Garnier Without The B Devotions Remix) (Break New Soil) PREVIEW

Gregor Tresher - Nightcolors (Garnier Without The B Devotions Remix) (Break New Soil) PREVIEW

artist: GREGOR TRESHER title: NIGHTCOLORS (Garnier without the B devotions remix) label: Break New Soil formats: One-sided Vinyl, Digital cat #: BNS042 release date: 16/12/13 It's safe to say that 2013 has been the biggest year in Gregor Tresher's career so far. Remixing Depeche Mode & Moby, releasing his 4th full length album and completing another tour around the globe spanning over more than 8 months, there is no stopping in sight for the man. So, to end the year in style, Gregor and Break New Soil are set to unleash another track that is destined to become a highlight in the label's history. "Nightcolors", the title track from Gregor's album, has received stunning and rare remix from none other than Laurent Garnier! Gregor says: "Laurent has always been one of my absolute favorite DJs and musicians. I can still remember when I saw him playing for the first time at Dorian Gray in Frankfurt in 1993. I was standing next to the booth watching him work his magic, and I remember it was one of the key moments that made me want to become a DJ myself. So now - to get one of my own tracks remixed by him really is a dream coming true and I think the result speaks for itself: Laurent is on top of his game, more than ever!"

8. Gregor Tresher - Tyrant (Break New Soil)

Gregor Tresher - Tyrant (Break New Soil)

Taken from Gregor Tresher´s upcoming album "Quiet Distortion", to be released on CD, Vinyl & digital download on May 30th, 2016. Press Info: With his new artist album “Quiet Distortion” ready for release this summer, Gregor Tresher once again sets sail to break new soil, proving why he is considered to be one of the most consistent artists in the universe of Techno music. “About A Good Place”, “Neon”, “A Thousand Nights”, “Full Range Madness” or his recent “Goliath” amongst many others - the list of Tresher's tracks that have turned into modern classics is more than impressive. Now, with this new installment of 12 tracks and once again accompanied by forward-thinking artwork by long-time collaborating 3D-artist Dennis Richter, it seems that Gregor managed to bridge the gap to his early releases by transforming their original, uncompromising sound into the here and now. Gregor puts it this way: “I am aiming to find the right balance in-between the vibe of some of my early music and the kind of modern Techno I like to play as a DJ, but at the same time I do not want to stand still but evolve as a musician. The goal I try to reach is to create something that will hopefully stand the test of time.“ After the haunting opening piece “Numb”, it´s “Surrender” and “Tyrant” that instantly set the tone for what we consider to be Tresher´s most complete piece of work to date. And when the title track “Quiet Distortion” kicks off, people will instantly recognize that Midas-touch that made Gregor´s sound a quality trademark in the world of electronic music. There are of course tracks that will find their place in playlists by Gregor´s DJ-colleagues: The rumbling “Depend“ that´s also been a staple in Gregor´s own sets over the past months, “Consistency“, which finds its niche in-between the melodic openers and a more tough Dancefloor-approach or the menacing “The Kraken“, that reminds of Tresher´s work on Adam Beyer´s seminal Drumcode label. With “Decades”, we get a glimpse of Gregor´s Sniper Mode project, which he buried at a time when real Electro lost its name to a different genre of music. And then of course there´s the mighty “Goliath“ - the only previously released track on the album: Pretty much everyone who has spent a night on a dance floor of a Techno club in the past year will recognize it, as it has been championed by so many. Accompanying the release, Gregor embarks on another extensive album tour spanning over six months. It will include a mixture of exclusive live performances as well as DJ-gigs kicking off at the end of May and touching down on some of the most prolific music festivals and clubs around the world.

15. Gregor Tresher - Quiet Distortion (Wigbert Remix) (Break New Soil)

Gregor Tresher - Quiet Distortion (Wigbert Remix) (Break New Soil)

Out on Beatport: btprt.dj/1SFMfhJ Out on Vinyl: bit.ly/1jMjo1B Out on Spotify: spoti.fi/2hVEEB8 listen to the whole ep: bit.ly/1TyXaKV While Gregor Tresher's original album ”Quiet Distortion“ still resonates on dance floors around the world, we are more than happy to present to you a wonderful and versatile remix package of select album tracks. We believe the lineup of remixers really speaks for itself: First up we have Nicole Moudaber, who has established a notable presence amongst the techno elite. Nicole transforms the title track of the album to an epic 10 minute journey that - dropped at the right moment of the night – will definitely let the magic happen. Next up we have Wigbert, hailing from Offenbach in Germany and releasing on Dubfire´s Sci+Tec and Carlo Lio´s Rawthentic, who also reworked the title track. Wigbert builds his version around the original strings to create a dense remix that explodes in a monstrous breakdown! Third on the lineup we have Jewel Kid from Malta, who just recently released a stunning EP on our little label and who delivers the bigroom mix on this package, twisting the original melodies to an apocalyptic dance floor destroyer. Soma artists Gemini Voice Archive have been a mainstay in Gregor´s DJ-sets for the past year with their distinctive and unique hypnotic sound - another perfect match for this remix package - they picked ”Safehouse“ and boy, did they deliver! Last but not least is Jonas Thor Gudmundsson aka Ruxpin from Iceland - Gregor has been a fan of his music for the past 15 years and we´re very happy to have him close the EP with his stunning vocal rework of the album´s final track ”Give It All Away“.

16. Gregor Tresher - Warpaint (Original Mix)

Gregor Tresher - Warpaint (Original Mix)

Gregor Tresher - Warpaint (Break New Soil, BNS034) A: Warpaint (07:00) B: Warpaint (Kernel Key Remix) (06:38) It"s been some time since label boss Gregor Tresher featured on Break New Soil. His and Karotte’s 2011 smash, “Sol”, was his last release, a track preceded by his excellent album “Lights From The Inside”. Since then, Gregor has concentrated on the A&R’ing of the label whilst creating and releasing club hits with the likes of Ovum, Music Man and Drumcode. Today he returns home, riding the wave of support for his current Cocoon hit “About A Good Place” and enjoying his seemingly endless run of good form to present: “Warpaint.” No camouflage here. “Warpaint” sees Gregor continue his run of bold arena rocking Techno releases. “I realised that its been well over a year since my last full release on the label and having really enjoyed moving back toward a tougher Techno sound with my Cocoon and Drumcode singles, I wanted to carry that sound into my latest for Break New Soil.” The original burns from the opening thump of the kick-drum. The ever-increasing intensity is fuelled by piercing single note synth riffs, shimmering hi-hats, Gong crashes and lazer shots. An epic concoction. “I’ve been working on ‘Warpaint’ for quite some time, playing and refining it over the last few months” says Gregor. “It’s been one of the peak time records in my sets and does quite some damage everywhere I play it, hence the name.” On the remix is an artist that has impressed Gregor with his recent releases, Kernel Key. “I’ve been a fan of all his music over the past months and on his ‘Warpaint’ remix he adds his signature groove, which gives it a great twist!”

18. Timmo - Komplex

Timmo - Komplex

Available here: http://btprt.dj/1KLqZJb --- Landing with a bang and in time for height of the summer season comes Eastern European producer and DJ Timmo, a rising tech house talent that’s already released with the likes Drumcode and Waveform Recordings, now makes his mark with Gregor Tresher’s always on point Break New Soil label. On the In My World EP, the Bulgarian focuses on tempo, rhythm and drive, turning in a 3 track EP of non-nonsense dance floor ammo, eschewing remixes and collaborative numbers for a full fat collection that allows the budding producer to explore all facets of his sound. Kicking off the EP is Komplex – a driving, mechanistic track that piles on the hypnotic, hydraulic overtones. Snarling, gnashing and tough, its drop heralds the arrival of a thudding kick drum, producing the back bone as the track hisses, pops and bangs through its deep groove and 808 claps. Title track In My world pushes a heavy slab of sub bass, before hissing and ticking snares – packed full of swing and pace – push the track forward, as radiating, mid range bass pierces the track’s plain. More groovy than Komplex – adorned by progressive melodies - it’s dark overtones and unapologetic effects make for an equally as moody piece for those with itchy feet. Finally, Timmo asks you to Trust In Me, as he notches the bass up further, with kick and baseline merging into one heavy lead rhythm, while compressed snares lift up the track in bursts of major tonal chord progression, restlessly deviating through a simultaneous weaving of high and low melodic touches. --- https://www.facebook.com/breaknewsoil
