Agoraphobia (Deerhunter Cover)

Cover me Cover me Come for me Come for me Cover me Cover me Come for me Come for me I had a dream no longer to be free I want only to see four walls made of concrete Six by six enclosed See me on video Feed me twice a day I want to fade away Cover me Cover me Come for me Come for me Cover me Cover me Come for me Come for me And after some time, I know I would go blind But seeing only binds The vision to the eye I’ll lose my voice, I know But I have nothing left to say Nothing left to pray No echo in this space

7. Renaissance Man

Renaissance Man

Hello, I thought you would go To a place far away from home and I'd never get to speak my peace Hello, please don't go I'd love to show you the way home That renaissance man Never felt guilt for his pleasure That renaissance man Took pride in all his treasures That renaissance man Always lived with careless measure That renaissance man Relished in his endeavors Fire flows freely Fall far away from me You won't need any rescuing After all, the one who falls Creates a new beginning That renaissance man Never felt guilt for his pleasure That renaissance man Took pride in all his treasures That renaissance man Always lived with careless measure That renaissance man Relished in his endeavors Tucked inside a vat of lies Your trust and faith; they will subside But still, you, you really tried You almost made it out alive (repeat x2) That renaissance man Never felt guilt for his pleasure That renaissance man Took pride in all his treasures That renaissance man Always lived with careless measure That renaissance man Relished in his endeavors

8. Molten Lava Pot

Molten Lava Pot

Go down, down, down to the bone Go down, down, down to the bone Lift up, up, up goes my soul Lift up, up, up goes my soul Wade deep, deep, deep through my heart Wade deep, deep, deep through my heart Fly high, high, high in my mind Fly high, high, high in my mind Leave your crumb trail in the forest for me I’ll leave a blood trail that’s easily seen (repeat x 3) Is there enough room for us in the molten lava pot? I tried to climb, climb to the top But my limbs, they’ve melted off Yes, my limbs they’ve melted off Oh, the sweet sanctity of swirling fires aglow I tried to reach for your hand to help But I’d rather be left alone Yes, I’d rather be left alone Go down, down, down to the bone Go down, down, down to the bone Lift up, up, up goes my soul Lift up, up, up goes my soul Wade deep, deep, deep through my heart Wade deep, deep, deep through my heart Fly high, high, high in my mind Fly high, high, high in my mind Leave your crumb trail in the forest for me I’ll leave a blood trail that’s easily seen (repeat x 3)

Demos from a jam with Jake Stern on Guitar and Vince Smith on drums. I still enjoy listening to them a month later so I thought I'd share. Everything was improvised and recorded on a hand recorder so expect nothing in terms of quality.

10. Vaya Con Dios

Vaya Con Dios

Oh mama, tell them that I'm sorry You know I just had to go I mean these people all are crazy But it's nothing personal Oh, with their eyes all like Medusa's Kisses as Judas' I try to remain optimistic But if feels like foolishness They say the truth will set you free I find, sometimes, so will lies It's hard to see your enemies when all your friends are in disguise So mama tell them that I'm sorry I just had to let it go I mean these people all are crazy But you know I love them so Okay, okay, I'll pay back karma One day, when I find out what's really right and wrong And not just somebody's opinion

12. Mythomania

Mythomania

Came and gone but the days were so long Only somber songs from the lonesome ride home In my dreams I found what in the days I couldn't see One day I woke to still find it all with me And I don't know what's been getting in the way But I've come to find this discontent is sinful And I made a mess of something really quite simple Watching fields fold up while they were still growing Put a penny in my pocket just to see if it would stay Now I found I wished all my cents away And I still look down at my empty pockets now and then Now I know I won't wish for anything again And I don't know what's been getting in the way But I've come to find this discontent is sinful And I made a mess of something really quite simple Watching fields fold up while they were still growing Mythomania When will we learn? x3

13. Spineless

Spineless

How can I trust you when you don't trust yourself? Your heart is still beating but it beats for someone else A lie is a lie is a fib Take it to the grave, you sad spineless kid I can smell her all over your sheets Strands of red hair and lipstick streaks And when you're exposed the next time we meet I'll watch you soak in your puddle of defeat Slip off my tongue and down my throat Oh how I wish I had never spoken Slither through my skin Make me feel alive again Cut from the same cloth A seething lie once lost Has found its way back to the surface Straight from the mouth of a spineless person How can I trust you when you don't trust yourself? Your heart is still beating but it beats for someone else A lie is a lie is a fib Take it to the grave, you sad spineless kid I can smell her all over your sheets Strands of red hair and lipstick streaks And when you're exposed the next time we meet I'll watch you soak in your puddle of defeat

14. Cherokee Red - "Comeback"

Cherokee Red -

In the Spring of 2011, Cherokee Red began as a collective of composers and multi- instrumentalists, each with a creatively unique voice and means of expression. Initially consisting of Andrew Sgarlat (drumkit/ guitar/ bass), Brittany Thomas (vox/ guitar/ drumkit), Charles Davis (guitar/ keys/ vox), Christiana Bartolini (vox/ percussion), and Dirk Dekker (guitar/ bass/ drumkit), the group began writing and rehearsing in the mountains outside of their home- town, Wilkes- Barre, located in scenic Northeast Pennsylvania. Tuned to the nature of the their surroundings, the culmination of each individual's efforts resulted in an organic, lush sound- scape that was immediately greeted with positive reception by artists, audiophiles, and the general public alike. Dubbed "psychedelic folk" and "dream pop" by listeners, Cherokee Red gained a fast and eager following, as the group performed regularly for crowds in Philadelphia, New York City, and the greater Scranton/ Wilkes- Barre area. After much anticipation, Cherokee Red self- released their eponymous debut album in the Spring of 2013, recorded and mixed by band member Dirk Dekker. The album was met with critical praise, drawing comparisons to the likes of Rilo Kiley, Mazzy Star, Beach House, and Fleetwood Mac. While regularly touring in support of the record, multi- instrumentalist/ composer and friend Matt Rattigan was added to the line- up, and immediately began re- fueling the collective creative tank. Cherokee Red promptly followed- up their self- titled album in the Autumn of 2013 with an EP entitled "432", named for the A=432Hz frequency at which it was recorded, and the group continues to use during performances. Also self- recorded by Dekker, and self- released by the group in proper DIY fashion, "432" once again brought Cherokee Red praise from critics, and has been cited as an inspirational piece amidst the A=432Hz movement. 2014 found the band included on the nationally renowned 'Peach Music Festival', alongside legends George Clinton, Trey Anastasio, Taj Majal, and festival name- sake, The Allman Bros. With a new EP (maintaining the A=432Hz frequency) released via Philadelphia's 'Magic Death Sounds' label, entitled "The World Is My Oyster, You're The Pearl", Cherokee Red toured of the East Coast (U.S.) through the autumnal season, to further commendation. Continuing to record and tour regionally through the northeast winter, Cherokee Red is scheduled to release new material in the spring of 2015. "Cherokee Red instantly lulls you into a blissfully peaceful state of deprived consciousness." - Joshua Mellin; Indie Shuffle "...the album makes me want to go to dark bar, drink absinthe and write poetry." - The Music Ninja "Cherokee Red's self-titled debut is a meditation on the soul... Frankly, this is some pretty existential shit." - Clint Murdoch; Fabricoh Magazine
