these interviews to be posted so more people can enjoy them.
Here's a sampler of the tracks I'm working on for the album DROP THE BONE. I am running an Indiegogo campaign to collect pre-sales ($15 for a download, $25 for a signed CD, $100 for both plus a bonus disc of alternate takes and demos). Please sign up and help make this project happen! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/drop-the-bone-new-studio-cd-from-david-gans-music#/
I was in the studio today recording "Brokedown Palace," and when it came time to record the vocals I found myself thinking a lot about Calico, who passed away yesterday. She was an exemplary human being and one of the greatest hippies who ever lived. Thousands and thousands of Deadheads remember her fondly for the great care she took of us all in so many ways.
Recorded by Jeremy Goody at Megasonic Sound, Piedmont CA.
I took this photo in San Rafael in the summer of 2000 (I think).
