Evie Cruz, a female singer/songwriter originally from New York living in Miami, FL. Her music idols and inspirations consisted of music divas such as Mariah Carey, the late Whitney Houston, Taylor Dayne, Celine Dion, Chaka Chan and Aretha Franklin. At the early age of 17 she was discovered by the label company Bush Baby Records in Miami who worked with artist such as by Chance, Jill and Debbie Deb. Evie was placed as one of the group members of a female trio called Pretty Pretty. Evie recorded two songs with Pretty Pretty, including “Wait a minute” and “Get it up”. As a group they did performances at Miami Clubs, local events and private parties organized by the label company. In the 90’s Evie worked with Marc Roofe Producer and president of M5 in Miami. Together they produced the single “All I wanna do” written by Evie Cruz. Not until later years did Evie find her inspiration to create music and have the desire again to perform again. This happened when she was aboard a cruise ship on vacation and was introduced to the Artist Jayquan, who had Gold records and was a strong member of the Urban Dance and Latin music community. A-board that cruise Evie had the opportunity to enjoy several of his shows. In awe of his entertainment, she was inspired. In one of Jayquan’s performances, while the crowd was up on stage with him chanting and singing along to his music, Evie just so happened to be next to Jayquan when he handed her the mic. Once she felt the microphone in her hand, a switch just turned on. She belted out the hook to Brittney Spears “Oh Baby Baby”. The crowd was roaring, cheering and clapping to her improv performance. Later that evening she was introduced to his manager Cheryl Udrich to which a meeting was setup back home in Miami. Cheryl and Jayquan talked about the possibilities of a music career. She regained her singing confidence and started again as his background singer for a few major shows. Evie was a part of The Orlando Freestyle Legends Tour II Concert in 2010 Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park in front of 7000 viewers. . Evie has had the honor & privilege to perform on the same stage with Artists such as: TKA, Judy Torres, Cover Girls, Expose, Johnny O, Cece Peniston, George La Mond, Johnny O and Giggles just to name a few. A proud and honor for both her and her mentors. Evie Cruz was a signed to JC Entertainment in 2011. Cheryl Udrich and Jayquan manage Evie’s music Career during those few years. Her genre began in Pop Electronic Dance. Her Electronic Pop song “Proven Wrong” featured Jayquan, was her first original come to life. From this, she began getting recognized and was featured in several other artist songs. She’s worked with well-known industry producers such as Hugo Diaz, who was part of the “Diaz Bros” responsible for producing the music that launched the career of Pitbull. Hugo made a remix of one of her original dance house tracks called “It feels good tonight”. It feels good tonight it definitely a DJ favorite at the clubs. Evie is now venturing into the Latin Music Genre. Her style today is very Sassy and Sexy to match her voluptuous curves and personality. She’s worked with Grammy Award winning producer such as Chino Nunez who was able to capture Evie’s sexy voice and implement all the flavors of live Latin Music into song. Together they created a few 70’s and 80’s cross overs hit songs into HOT Latin Salsa and Merengue. The first song is a remake by legendary Iris Chacon and the second remake originally by Chaka Khan. While Working with JC Entertainment Evie landed the opportunity to work as one of the hosts of a TV Entertainment show “VIP TV”. VIP TV is still on air today and starting their 5th season. She is currently being managed by Bea4RealMusic Casimiro Rodriguez. Casimiro has made it possible to release three of her songs such as, “Tu Boquita” Merengue originally by legendary Iris Chacon, “Ain’t nobody” Salsa. Originally by R&B legend Chaka Khan, and “Ice Cream” Electronic dance. They are currently working on a Latin Salsa Project of all original songs. Evie Cruz has done solo performances in local Clubs from Miami to Orlando, Private parties & Weddings, festivals, charity events, The New York City Puerto Rican parade, Calle Ocho Miami, and more. She’s played Live with local bands and also performed aboard the Liberty of the Sea Royal Caribbean Cruise Line on multiple occasions as part of the Entertainment.
