KILLEKILL 022 | EOMAC - SPECTRE REMIXES by TOMMY FOUR SEVEN, ANNO STAMM, AnD (snippets)

KILLEKILL 022 EOMAC - SPECTRE REMIXES buy at www.killekill.com A // SPECTRE - TOMMY FOUR SEVEN REMIX B1 // SU RIDDIM - ANNO STAMM REMIX B2 // SHELL OF DARK - AnD REMIX Following EOMAC’s debut album “Spectre” on Killekill, released earlier this year, here come remixes of the three most outstanding tracks of the album. TOMMY FOUR SEVEN picked the title track SPECTRE, taking away some of the dense texture of the original, speeding it up a bit and adding some straight-forward percussion to turn the original into a big anthem for the mellow moments on the dancefloor. Lars Stöwe aka Anstam is using his ANNO STAMM-alias to rip out the distorted bassline of the grimey SU RIDDIM and add some playful bassline variations and some serious 808 business to it to turn it into a peaktime banger with lots of chicago flavour. AnD do what they do best and turn SHELL OF DARK into a half-tempo stomper that after a while breaks up to a devastating weapon of distorted drums and melodies. release date: 10.Nov.2014 (vinyl) 17.Nov.2014 (digital)

KILLEKILL PODCAST #41: ALIEN RAIN

A few years ago mysterious Alien Rain records came up from nowhere. A series of killer releases which easily made it into every dj's bag, who is into acid. Later it became clear, that Milton Bradley stood behind this project. Leading towards the event which we have with him on Oct 13th, 2018 at About Blank he recorded this mix for us. A1 // SONIC CRIMINAL A2 // PULSE CATCHER B1 // EARTH B2 // BLACK ORACLE Tadd Mullinix aka JAMES T. COTTON aka J.T.C. is one of our true heroes. When we had our hands on the first records of his on Spectral we immediately fell in love with his daring approach to club music. Raw sketches of great ideas - not clean, not cool, but human and deficient, singu- lar and alive. So, signing this artist for our label is a great honour to us, and we are proud to present SONIC CRIMINAL to you, an EP crossing over classic Detroit techno, deep house, jazz and electro. Amazing! J.T.C. released 3 albums and several 12”es on labels such as: Spectral, Nation, Creme Organization, Shaddock, M>O>S and many more. As DABRYE he released on Ghostly International and Good Boy records and as SK-1 on Rephlex, Rewind and Planet μ. KILLEKILL PODCAST #37: Fiedel (ghetto beats mix)

We have a rarity here! In preparation for his appearance at our Ghetto House Night on 27th of April 2018, Fiedel provided us with this Ghetto mix of his. It was recorded a couple of years ago, but since good music is timeless music, this mix still rocks. To have a suitable image we were digging deep in his past - believe it or not, the young man in the pic is him. B-Boy style! Join us: https://www.facebook.com/events/156201541726027/ __________________________ bio Fiedel: Contrast. Objection. Antithesis. This is how you might start an attempt to describe the world. A seemingly chaos of shapes and thoughts that don't belong to each other. An overall image to be found in life and in music. But that's not Fiedel’s view of the world. Where others make distinctions, he sees connections, where others find emptiness, he finds rooms full of opportunities. Finding those harmonies, connections and contexts marks out his musical work. The synthesis of apparently opposing music, the interaction and the mix of styles and moods, without loosing the storyline, that makes out the characteristic Fiedel sound. Born and raised in Brandenburg, he finds access to the music through various artists and styles in the mid 1980s. He was influenced by artists of the old school hip hop like Mantronix and Egyptian Lover and the early works of Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. A very important influence was Monika Dietl’s radio show at Radio 4U in West-Berlin. Her show aroused the fascination and the longing for musical freedom and diversity, that was not possible in former Eastern Germany. Those impressions gave him a first feeling, a first vision of what should become alive later on. After the wall came down, the way was open to access a fresh scene, and with it came a whole spectrum of new and old music to discover. In the beginning of the 1990s, he started DJing in public as a regular at the Monday events at Subversiv. Shortly after he began his collaboration with his befriended Errorsmith under the name of MMM. They released several productions and play live shows. Since 2000 he is resident at OstGut and later on at Berghain. On the compilation Fünf he had his first solo release on the incorporated Ostgut Ton label, followed by contributions to the compilations Various (2013) and Ostgut Ton | Zehn (2015). In 2012 he eventually founded his own label Fiedelone, to give his own productions a more personal base. In spring 2014 he developed a live set, which he premiered at Berghain. March 2017 saw his first full Ostgut Ton release with the 12" Substance B, followed up by his contribution to the Berghain mixes series in January 2018. You can say one thing about Fiedel: he is no techno or house stereotype pattern, that you can put randomly on a every evening or club. He is lead by his history, the history of the music and the feeling of the moment to build something new and to capture this very moment. Let it be the straight dark techno of today, banging acid of the 80ies or an electro funk record, Fiedel surprises. He undermines and overrides expectations and refrains to limit the music for any reason. He lets the music speak for itself, through himself.

Next podcast in our series comes from one of our personal favourites. Tadd Mullinix aka JAMES T. COTTON aka J.T.C. is one of our true heroes. When we had our hands on the first records of his on Spectral we immediately fell in love with his daring approach to club music. Tadd Mullinix is also involved in the following projects: 2 AM/FM, The Saturn V, X2 and many more. Tadd Mullinix, when not producing hip hop as Dabrye, has been leading the way for a new wave of jackin' house, acid house, techno and electro under the aliases James T. Cotton and JTC. Recording for Spectral, TNT, Nation, Creme Organization, Udek, Frigio, M>O>S, Minimal Rome, Frigio, and Relief, collaborating with Todd Osborn, D'marc Cantu and Traxx, and having remixed Orgue Electronique and Depeche Mode - he has received critical acclaim for his raw productions from influentials like Laurent Garnier, Traxx, and Trevor Jackson. And his records have been in rotation thanks to respected DJs like Theo Parrish, Sven Väth, Traxx, Carlos Souffront, Ryan Elliot, Ben Sims, Mick Wills, Serge, and DJ Qu. KILLEKILL 012 | EOMAC - SPOOCK (incl. Lucy remix) - snippets

A1 // SPOOCK A2 // STYLISED & DESENSITISED B1 // SPOOCK (LUCY REMIX) B2 // NO NAME KILLEKILL 012 is being delivered by Dubliner EOMAC, aka Ian McDonnell, aka half of LAKKER, who has proven himself as one producer to watch. His sound design is extreme and unique. He creates dense atmospheres and fills them with subtle melodic elements, that are being pushed forward by heavy basslines and markable kick drums. With club play by no less than Aphex Twin, EOMAC is a name that is on the verge of exploding onto the scene. The title track SPOOCK is a killer of a techno track, that will literally destroy all dancefloors with its mental kickdrum and psyched out melody. A2 track STYLISED & DESENSITISED is the track that has been played out by Aphex Twin. With its dark atmosphere and the subtle groove it develops its abstract appeal. The B-side starts with a remix of SPOOCK by Stroboscopic Artefacts label boss LUCY who took away some of the aggressiveness of the original and focussed on the deeper side of the track to turn it into an almost 9 min long techno epos. B2 track NO NAME is a deep, bass driven masterpiece of abstract dance music. It shows the introverted side of EOMAC and therewith gives the EP what it needs to make it an outstanding, typical KILLEKILL release. release date: 08.04.2013 (vinyl) 22.04.2012 (digital) Available at your local record shop or through our webshop at www.killekill.com

KILLEKILL PODCAST #09: RADIOACTIVE MAN

Nothing stops this train mix for Killekill .. Keith Tenniswood a.k.a. RADIOACTIVE MAN is one of our closest friends in music. So asking him for a podcast was a thing that had to happen sooner or later. The man who formerly was one half of the legendry Two Lone Swordsmen is still one of our favourite artists. Especially his album that he released recently on Wang Trax showed his skills in machine funk and melancholy. So, here we go with this full on driving electro mix featuring some fine pearls of this genre, classics (such as the Burrito Boys or Advent) as well as unreleased material (such as his own track to be released on the KILLEKILL 010 compilation). Break it down! Tracklist: 1. Dexorcist '1998' Unreleased 2. Miotech/Wrth 'Our Funk' (Radioactive Man Remix) Seven Sisters Records 3. Al Tourettes 'Badger' Base 4. KILLEKILL HOUSE TRAX 005 | HITSAFE - SERIOUS JAW-WORK + LOPAZZ & CASIO CASINO REMIX - Snippets

A1 // Serious Jaw-Work A2 // Lopazz & Casio Casino Jack Remix B // Lopazz & Casio Casino Jane Remix HITSAFE are a duo of established producers operating under an enigmatic moniker. Nothing new, you might say, and that is true. The music is so outstanding and unusual though, that in this case this approach really does make sense. SERIOUS JAW-WORK is funk in its purest form. And we mean real funk! Wonder how many djs will have the guts and abilites to play this one out... To round this release up, we asked LOPAZZ AND CASIO CASINO for a remix and these guys came up with two! Both are so good, we couldn’t make a choice. So here we go with both of them on this release. The JACK REMIX on A2 is a functional tech housy Überhit, suitable for all peaktime house floors, the JANE REMIX on the B-side is a moodymanesque version with a strong ludicruous tendency, that has all necessary qualities to become a timeless epic. MASSIVE! KHT005 HITSAFE - SERIOUS JAW-WORK release dates: 28.10.2013 (Vinyl) 11.11.2013 (digital

A1 // RINSE & DRY A2 // GUANTANAMO RAVE B1 // GET INVOLVED B2 // HOUSE FM Our friend AFFIE YUSUF delivers the next release for our house imprint. Better known as a master of acid house and techno, he shows off with his other side here. With its 4 groovy tunes this record offers anything you can expect from a good house record, may it the subtle groove of Rinse & Dry, which reminds of the early works of Herbert, the ironical drugged out Guantanamo Rave, the uptempo Ferox-like Get Involved or the funky House FM.
