PRÉMIÈRE: Nigm - Toward Brighter Days [La Forge]

Special times, special release : our six producers are finally reunited in this third output of our Crysta Ampullaris series. Ayuji, Shonen Bat, Slowglide, Nigm, Indigo Persona and Lebird are gracing us with some of their best lockdown creations. As always, these tracks display their mutual roots as much as their individual visions of electronic music. First, trancethusiast Ayuji takes us on an underwater journey to the lost continent : bright pads turning into epic acid lines as we’re going faster and faster through the ocean’s fauna and flora. Post-fluokid Shonen Bat switches on to ‘Memorigram’, an optimistic solarpunk bass-rolling track that suddenly gets a more contrasted and melancholic mood when the chords appear. Slowglide’s video games hermitage finally paid off, as he invites us with ‘Myst’ to a deep, bass-fueled VR trip through a self-generated jungle full of noises and glitches. Sound-sculptor Nigm found the perfect balance between deep atmospheres and hard-hitting percussions. Built like a kind of mantra, ‘Toward Brighter Days’ slowly turns into a message of hope for the near future. Goldsmith Indigo Persona blew our minds with ‘Reality’, a DnB-infused IDM gem that showcases his stunning skills for sound design, deep textures and rhythmic twists. Last but not least, crazy scientist Lebird delivers a wistful jungle tune : surgically-precise breakbeats, heavy subs and modern tones melt together in this future-proof piece. https://soundcloud.com/nigm-lau https://soundcloud.com/laforgemusique

5. PREMIERE: Nigm - Hephaïstos [La Forge]

PREMIERE: Nigm - Hephaïstos [La Forge]

The galaxy burst into life as the spaceship careered between exploding stars and flying comets. Out here in the depths of space there was little daylight and all that surrounded their tiny rocket was a dense foggy black but for the occasional sporadic boom and a flash. Noise echoed all around, a drone like sound which shook your insides to the very core, it was sickening yet strangely pleasant to feel so at odds with ones self amidst chaotic circumstances. This was living, this was life. That which lay back down there was not a comparison to the wild and wonderful experiences that you might find when dancing between the stars on a cosmic exploration... Nigm appears on a new release titled "Crysta Ampullaris". The split EP is forthcoming and will be released by La Forge collective: the record itself is a top tier showcase of broody electronics and pensive dancefloor groovers.

La Forge Podcast 010 - Another Pixel

https://soundcloud.com/anotherpixel : "This podcast browses the cosmic Electro and Deep Techno sounds I like so much, those who for me take all their scale in the dark… The 25 selected records, recent or much more older, reflect together during 1 hour and 19 minutes the " double face "of electronic music. Between strange atmospheres and funky energies, they cross grooves with sometimes syncopated and sometimes binary kicks, or disappearing under sequences of atmospheric synths. So to record a podcast is the opportunity for me to pass on energies quiet disconnected from those of the dancefloor, and to share even more stories by the sound. I hope you’ll appreciate this one and that, in the dark, it will make you travel ! Crysta Ampullaris Vol. 2 preview

Release date : February 27, 2020 Preorder link : https://laforgemusique.bandcamp.com/ A few months after the first instalment of our ‘Crysta Ampullaris’ V.A. series, we’re back for a second volume always with top-tier producers Reims has to offer and the will of showcasing their eclecticism. Good news, our little family has recently extended with the arrival of our dear trance-enthusiast Ayuji, whose first track ever appears at the end of this release. Exotic tones, screaming synths and heavy kick bursts progressively make the listener to drown himself into those introspective quicksands with no way out. Taking inspirations from a large minimal background, Lebird supplied us with a high velocity tune driven by a perfect swing mastery and old school samples chopping. Somewhere between UKG and electro, well-named ‘Venturi’ showcases Lebird’s remarkable skills for dynamic twists and sound design, making it a smart tool to smash a dancefloor. Terrible child Shonen Bat back at it again with ‘Fastglide’ (odd name choice, innit?), a futuristic high-octane joint that could become the perfect soundtrack for (real) hoverboards competitions to come. Bouncy drum programming, fast gliding bassline and moving synths melt together at some point, leading to a climax of pure euphoria. Nigm’s offering to our symbolic divinity sounds like a sonic patchwork of reminiscent echoes from ancient lores. Like tales, musical parts are each taking us to different landscapes and eras of a same place, until the world collapses under gods’ distorted kicks and hardcore breakbeats in order for the emerge of a new one. Lastly, rookie Ayuji’s golden touch provided us with a melodic masterpiece. ‘King Midas’ is a pure celestial gem, celebrating the golden days of early trance with a modern twist. Layers of piano, fairy choirs, glittering synths and crystal tones bring the listener to a total contemplative state as the 909 beats and the bassline grow in intensity. A perfect sunrise tune for sure. Tracklist : 1. Slowglide - Ego Death 2. Lebird - Venturi 3. Shonen Bat - Fastglide 4. Nigm - Hephaïstos 5. Ayuji - King Midas Artwork by Nigm Mastering by Lebird
