ID136 2. Many Reasons - Tube

Out now on Beatport https://www.beatport.com/release/aspects-ep/2100487 This new release is from Many Reasons, which is the Techno alias of Italian duo Angelo Manicone and Michele Colombo, who are also known to many under the alias of MiniCoolBoyz described by Dubfire as the future stars of electronic music. Under their various aliases they have featured music on labels including Phobiq, Break New Soil, Bitten, 100%% Pure, Terminal M, Octopus Black and their own Amazing Records. Since their first release in 2008, the pair have been one of Italys most prominent Techno acts, and have inspired a generation of producers with their cutting edge style. Having originally released their first EP on Intec in 2013, this release marks their return to the label with two cuts of Techno that take influence from a variety of other electronic genres. Track one Aspect has a thick bottom end provided by a pounding kick drum. Slick synth stabs lift the track from its otherwise dark atmosphere, whilst a second melody creates an ethereal tension. Filled with a medley of textures, this dancefloor destroyer unfolds with unexpected twists and turns that are both captivating and intense. The second track Tube has a rolling groove and rumbling bassline, which is tailor made for dark rooms and big sound systems. Layered with uplifting synths that hold a subtle sense of euphoria the dark and light contrast is perfection. Finished off with some looped vocal chants, this track has everything you need to get the party started.

ID156 1. Many Reasons - Obsessed

Out now on Beatport https://www.beatport.com/release/obsessed/2303744 Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell. This new Intec release is from Many Reasons, which is the techno alias of Italian duo Angelo Manicone and Michele Colombo, who had previously been known under the names of MiniCoolBoyz. Under their various aliases they have featured music on a huge range of labels including Phobiq, Break New Soil, Minus, 100%% Pure, Terminal M, Octopus Black, and their own Amazing Records. Since their first release in 2008, the pair have been one of Italys most prominent techno acts, and have played all over the world including clubs like Watergate in Berlin, plus festivals like Balaton Sound in Hungary. Many Reasons last release on Intec in September 2017 picked up support from the likes of Ambivalent, Alan Fitzpatrick, Wehbba plus Lee Van Dowski, and their much anticipated follow up brings stylish techno with a delicate sound design. First up is Obsessed and its namesake vocals, which sits over the stripped back groove consisting of mechanical hi-hats and rippling synths. The track has a very intimate vibe with whispered textures, but its full bodied sound more than fills the speakers, and its pounding bottom end is a certified party starter. The second track Rawphoria lifts it up a gear with a booming kick drum leading the slow building tension of the hypnotic background textures. The euphoric lead synth takes centre stage making this an understated and intricate cut of dancefloor focused techno with uplifting elements that complement its otherwise dark atmosphere.

7. Many Reasons - Call Up - Break New Soil

Many Reasons - Call Up - Break New Soil

When the Minicoolboyz changed their brand name to Many Reasons in late 2014, they were ready to embark on a new techno adventure. A bold move! Since then they have worked relentlessly on finding a new "language" to express their exciting and cutting edge sounds. With the 'Call Up EP' they present us with three refined, peak time compositions that will elevate techno-sets for months to come. The EP's title track 'Call Up' consists of a thick, rolling groove, that is accompanied by a subtle but monstrous sub layer. The horn sounds and delay-effect filled percussions provide an overall transcendental vibe. The 'Optic' slow burner steadily drills itself into one's consciousness. The massive kick drum glides through the track, while the sleek, minimal melody pattern adds an hypnotizing feel. Many Reasons are closing out the EP with 'Invasive'. A rawer combination of moody sounds and crisp hi-hats are weaving a tight web around profound percussion sounds. A heads-down trip into the darker corners of techno. Many Reasons - Dream After (Original Mix)

Many Reasons present a threefold, chrome-plated journey and starting off with the title track, we are introduced to streamlined atmospherics, moody chords and cavernous percussion. “Vertical” picks up from there with evolving synths and juicy sub bass, while intricate programming keeps everything suspenseful and mutated vocal snippets add a sense of urgency. Closing up, we have the bubbling low-end of “Phonica”, complete with hypnotic loops and menacing stabs.

MiniCoolBoyz, NHB - Placebo (Original Mix) OVER 001 snipped

www.facebook.com/OverLabel OVER 001 - MiniCoolBoyz and NHB - That's OVER! Italian Techno prodigies MiniCoolBoyz and NHB join forces together on this incendiary 3 track EP on their recently born label Over. A new point of reference in the underground scene worldwide, the imprint stands out as a true-to-the-roots and no-compromise music outlet: this very first release sees the guys come up with some blasting and punchy cuts, heavy-as-fuck and menacingly stomping through the speakers and the dancefloors. Opener “Over”’s skizoid synth squeals and oozing satanic atmospheres are underpinned by a gigantic kick drum and mammoth bass line; “Placebo”’s raging stabs and macabre melodies build a wall of sound as big as you can imagine, and the fat low frequencies smash through the sonic spectrum to a pumping flow of energy. Closing “Knowless” slows down momentarily the pace to a trippy vibe, and the result is a black paranoid lullaby. These cats know their tricks, and we can’t wait to hear more from this project. words: FRANCESCO BERGOMI

12. Many Reasons - Cloudy - Amazing Records

Many Reasons - Cloudy - Amazing Records

Many Reasons are back on Amazing Records with the first of a series of exclusive EPs on the label: going deep into Techno mode, the guys here deliver two fine examples of contemporary underground music, keeping up with their more experimental and harder side. Title track Cloudy kicks off with an atmospheric intro and flows heavy on low frequencies. Its obsessively acidic and brooding synth line veers into subliminal territory thanks to its upwards spiraling and frequency shiftings crawling through the whole composition. Second cut Utopia is a long journey into a dark tunnel, with quirky percussion patterns and spooky samples that welcome an unrelenting and tough melody during the break, spanning the entire stereo panorama and slinking all over the place. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ If you have any questions or you need promo for your label please don't hesitate to contact: [email protected] www.facebook.com/KonnektPromoAndMastering www.konnekt.agency
