Burning Man is by far the most interesting festival in the world. Not a music festival, but an arts and expression celebration. Once again it was a privilege to spend time at White Ocean and share the music i love with so many burners from all over the world....
Huge thanks to White Ocean for making one of my dreams a reality. This year was my very first Burn… And if you met me on the playa, you know how much fun I had! For those who know me well, this experience was really powerful. I discovered a new part of myself, artistically and socially. And this set at White Ocean was very special. I was supposed to play a 3 hours live set but for many reasons I wasn’t able to do so… So I improvised a kind of hybrid set remixing and editing some tracks in live. I had never done such a thing before and it was totally insane! Right after I started a big dust storm hit the playa and we couldn't see a thing but it was unbelievable! So epic! The crowd was insane! It probably was the craziest set in my entire life! I will never forget this one. There is so much to say… Just be there.
Until next time.
One of the highlight shows year after year comes late august when i play at Burning man. This is the live recording from my set at the White Ocean playa in the early morning hours on wed aug 31st.
I hope it brings great memories & feelings like we all had that day at this unique moment.
A big thanks to White Ocean and the entire Burning Man community for having me on this very special Tuesday morning. This sunrise has been burned into my memory for all time. I sincerely hope you enjoy.
Experiencing Burning Man for the first time and playing at White Ocean, facing the desert and distant mountains while the sun was setting was definitely a highlight of my year. In that surreal setting in front of a new crowd I took the opportunity to showcase my own music, new and old, so apart from track 2 & 3 this set consists only of my music. Big thanks to White Ocean for welcoming my Swedish folky and playful grooves! Enjoy..........
“Blessings to the White Ocean family for making my first Burning Man experience a reality and providing me with such an incredible platform to showcase my musical tastes. Despite knowing how life changing of an adventure Burning Man had been for thousands of people, I was quite hesitant in going. I couldn’t be happier for having “randomly" met the crew and let them convince me I had to be part of the event a few weeks before it took place. Being slotted at peak time between Matthew Jonson and Jamie Jones b2b with Dyed Soundorom showed how much trust they put in my performance.
i could write several paragraphs about my unforgettable experience out on the playa; unfortunately, no words would do it justice. All of you who have been already know, and all of you who have not I am sure got the hint by now . . . Go experience the MAGIC for yourself, and let it remind you what life essentially is about: LOVE"
Before you experience Burning Man, you always have an image of how it would be. After a couple days, I realised it was a lot different than I had imagined. Being in the middle of no where surrounded by dust, where everybody around you shares the same vibe and we all come together as one was like a dream. I wish I could live this dream forever. During my White Ocean set, the atmosphere around was shaking with a thousand voices; like that part of the song when the music stops and the voices die down, but a fragile few still float in the air. It's a different planet. Without even realising, you connect with everything around you. Your music is asking questions and it's demanding for a story to be told. Thank you White Ocean and I can't wait to see you in the dust!
