Track composed and produced by collaboration of two Polish producers based in Denmark Moo Latte and Roux Spana. Track is a triubte to J Dilla!
"Heartbreaks & Promises" is a collection of instrumental love stories about intimate situations that never really happened. The stories you can hear are interpretations composed by the most interesting figures in Polish beat-making (some already well known while others only now rising to fame). Through sound, they narrate the ups and downs of human emotion, from cases as significant as true love to those as mundane as a fling. This New Beat saga of peculiar affairs of the heart aims at creating a cross-section of forward-looking producers on the Polish scene who are both thinking and producing in the future. Finally, it’s a subjective response to the question as to which way is the way in a world of club flirt these days. It’s the way to the heart.
Droga do jej serca.

cover made by Roux Spana with his sunny photos.
First single from the "9 Weeks of Sun: Last Sunset LP".
The last part of Roux Spana's summer trilogy.
Everything that has a beginning, has an end. The "9 weeks of sun: Last Sunset" is ending the story, that started two years ago. The final chapter is more melancholic and dreamy than the previous parts, however still full of a sunny vibe and mid-80s funk. A last drink, a last dance, a last party, a last walk on the beach , a last sunset.... Enjoy!

check out the previous parts:
First single from "9 Weeks of Sun: Morning Heat" project.
"9 weeks of sun: Morning Heat" continues the story that began a year ago. This time, though the songs are again based on samples from the soul and boogie-funk-joints from the mid-80s, the material is suppose to reflect the vibe of returning home an early morning and the atmosphere in the city when it awakes during the summer time.
"Morning heat" is no longer a weekly compilation, it is a story, full of grooves, cut guitar riffs, jagged synths, fat basses and the hottest sun. Previous "9 weeks of sun" was created by the memories, the second part is giving the background to create the memories.

Dear Dilla, you shaped my perception for music in ways I can't describe in words. Music has always touched my heart, but your music moved my soul. You had a gift of making the most creative music using samples from the most unlikely sources. I'll never understand why someone like you, who could have given the world so much more, would be taken way so soon. Dilla, you "literally" changed lives and you probably saved lives too, because when you make music "straight from the heart," it's not just music anymore.
You will always be my favorite musician of all time....
Thank You Dilla, Rest In Peace
---- I DO NOT OWN ANY PART OF THIS TRACK --- I'm simply trying to express my soul, support my favorite artists and help spread good music to those who might not have heard it.
*LOVE, PEACE & MUSIC*
