I'd intended for this to be some sort of totally epic power metal piece and not at all a confused mess BUT I GUESS WE CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT WE WANT

So I've gotten a bunch of requests for Undertale songs. Be careful what you wish for: I just played through all the routes and I finally understand why people have been obsessing over this game. Unfortunately this obsession extends to content creators as well, so I doubt I'll be doing a crapton of stuff from the game even though I'd like to. You'll get a few songs for sure - probably not Megalovania for a bunch of reasons, one of which is Dew's doing it already and he's basically better than me - but probably not more than three.
I tried to keep things interesting without straying from the source material here. I think the end result's pretty decent, though I'm pretty bummed with the fact that I don't enjoy the solo part as much as the rest of the song. I guess that's the curse of having source material that's just too good.

Well, this one's been requested a lot. Aaaand it's another track that won't render properly no matter what. Definitely time to sit down and remake the preset I've been using, this one's obviously bottlenecking too badly for proper use. Shame, 'cause I think it sounds pretty baller.
Download limit's been reached here, but you can get an updated version of this track from bandcamp:

Super happy with this arrangement. Also toyed around with auto-wah for the lead guitar which just made everything sound delicious. I'll probably start overusing this.

Thanks to King Meteor for a great MIDI to start out from, saved me a bunch of time transcribing this thing. Check out his channel:

Sort of a tribute to xi-on, or at least something heavily influenced by his style. Really happy with how this track turned out.

In my youth, many a dime were spent at the local arcade's Alien vs Predator cabinet. I don't know how many of you actually got to play this since it remains an arcade exclusive to this day, but it was a pretty damn cool game. Imagine my surprise when I, as a child, found out that there was a Super NES port as well. Or so I thought. It's really just a super mediocre SNES game with the same name. Oh well, at least Tenpei Sato wrote the music for it.
This song took no time at all to transcribe and only took a few days to polish up, but whenever I tried to add something to it I ended up screwing up the song's energy. In the end all I managed to add were a couple of extra solos and an intro. The last 30 seconds are hella awesome though!

I said something along the lines of "Afterburner next week". By Afterburner, of course, I meant Legend of Mana. I suddenly remembered I had this song on the back burner, and everything lined up perfectly: Had some time off from work, had access to an awesomely well-made midi by Zagro, and a pretty good excuse to do nothing but write music. Thanks to all of that, I was able to finish this project in just a little over 24 hours. Works out pretty well, too, since my weekend's completely booked up and I'll be away both Thursday and Friday due to work.
Anyway, for once, I think this arrange kicks ass. There are a few niggles here and there, synths being one and the orchestral stuff being another, but overall I'm really happy with how this turned out and even happier with how quickly I was able to finish it.
Afterburner next week. (for real this time. ;p)

Heeey, another super obscure game and song. This is one of the cases where I can happily claim to have made an improvement over the original - probably because the original's already metal as hell and I'm sticking pretty close to it at all times here. I also completely remade my mix from scratch here - the goal was to get snappier drums, clearer lead and a rhythm guitar combo that's closer in feel to Iron Devil 'cause I love the sound in that song. I think it came out rather well.
I've had something of a writer's block lately which as resulted in a million projects getting started and me quitting as soon as things get hard. The bad thing about that is that I'm forcing you guys to wait so long for reasons that aren't particularly great, but the good thing about it is that I have a billion half-finished projects that I'm sitting on so my job's literally the only thing getting in the way now.
Nobody's probably played this game, but I still might do one more song from it since I love the shit out of the soundtrack. We'll see.
