3. Maximum Effort

Maximum Effort

The 2017/2018 winter was one of the worse we have seen here on Maui. That is if you enjoy pushing yourself with big sections and or big waves. With the season drawing to a close it seemed like every time we started getting back into the swing of things the waves would disappear again and be replaced by onshore and rain. You'e probably been told onshore is the new offshore. FALSE, actually side off shore is the new off shore, or onshore whatever I'm confused now. Here's 2 minutes and 22 seconds of me falling. I hope you get a giggle out of it because my 50s are going to be painful. ( Hope you enjoyed it. Please use the Tip Jar below to help us make more awesome videos! ) Watch the Behind The Scenes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAKGANmRFNw Killzone Intercept occurs during the events of Killzone 3 as the ISA evacuate Helghan. A small scout squad is called upon to stall a large group of approaching Helghasts that plan to cut off the ISA convoy from reaching the extraction point. Outnumbered, the squad takes on the task with hopes of getting everyone off the planet alive. Director's note: "This is another film project that was 2yrs in the making and only possible with unbelievable amounts of work and support from friends and family. It amazes me what can happen when a group of talented people are passionate about a project. On previous projects, we have never had any form of support from the actual game creators. Luckily, Guerrilla Games was kind enough to give feedback and recognition for a fan film project fueled by our love for the games. Other developers should take notes. Now, enjoy the film!" The video is Directed by Nader Husseini and produced/edited by Amy Grieshaber. Radium/Reel FX turnkeyed the spot. The team used After Effects as the main compositing software. They combined the 2D drawings and paintings and 3D animation and digital effects into a single space in order to create a highly textured look. In addition to lighting and compositing the CG characters and props in Maya, the team used Maya Toon, Maya Hair and Maya nCloth, manipulating and merging techniques not typically used in the studio’s CG pipeline. Pre-compositing 3D components in Nuke ensured an efficient workflow. These files were also color-corrected and incorporated into the 2D environments in After Effects. Using Maya Paint FX in conjunction with cloth simulations and digital effects added to the video’s unique style. In 2012 we were in a close, but short collaboration with a Norwegian parachute club called OFSK to create a commercial for Tele2. We started talking about doing some projects together in the future. Firestorm Productions wanted to bring better visual composition and style to their projects. Typical for extreme sport films are that you either see great stunts shot with poor camerawork, or daft stunts with amazing camerawork. We would like to give you the best of both worlds. "Wave Off" premieres december 1st and content from Wave Off will take part in the television show "Wild Spirits".

OMCOPTER | The OMCOPTER gives wings to the Red Epic

The world’s best camera learns how to fly: The Omcopter gives wings to the Red Epic. Berlin, October 10th, 2011 Today, in a European first, Berlin based OMSTUDIOS introduced a powerful new drone that enables filmmakers to combine the performance of the world’s finest digital camera, the RED Epic, with the versatility of an octocopter. In doing so, the OMCOPTER opens up a whole new world of cinematic possibilities, as well as drastically lowering the costs of production. Since its release in September 2011, the RED Epic has become known as the pinnacle of digital camera design. With a resolution of 5K, a dynamic range of up to 18 stops and a high-tech processor enabling up to 300 frames per second, the RED Epic is without a doubt the world’s most advanced camera. Not only among camera connoisseurs, but also among the largest, big-budget Hollywood productions — the Epic has established itself as the definite standard. Directing legends such as Ridley Scott, Peter Jackson and James Cameron are utilizing this state-of-the-art technology for their current feature films “Prometheus”, “The Hobbit” and “Avatar 2”, by placing dozens of orders. The all-new OMCOPTER raises the RED Epic to lofty heights without the limitations of a crane or the prohibitive costs and space requirements of an actual helicopter. As an intuitively remote-controlled drone, the OMCOPTER makes the capture of spectacular shots at the highest quality possible, and at a fraction of the previous costs. The OMCOPTER is ready for take-off in just 15 minutes and can reach heights of up to 150 meters. The reach of the drone is dependent on the range of sight of the operator, usually up to 100 meters. The OMCOPTER is also usable in close quarters and its extreme agility makes it very adaptable.

It will cost you around $20 and shouldn't take more than 1 hour to make. With this camera rig you will be able to get moving car shots, even if you're driving on the highway or off-road. It's the same type of camera mount that is used on big Hollywood productions, except mine is made out of wood and won't cost you an arm and a leg. To use it, simply lean it against the car door... you can adjust the distance between the two pieces so this way the mount will fit all types and sizes of cars. Then secure the whole thing with two tie down straps. Remember not to over-tighten! Also make sure to put an old towel or blanket on the door so you don't scratch the car paint. Then adjust your camera's settings, and hit record. To get a conversation of two people driving in a car simple record one angle, then take the car mount off and install it on the opposite side and have the actors do the scene again. That's it! Hope you enjoy it.
