10. UMEK - Deja Vu (Original Mix) [Tronic]

UMEK - Deja Vu (Original Mix) [Tronic]

Slovenian producer UMEK returns to Tronic with his new, killer 2 track EP, Certain Trace. Straight out the gate, some serious no-nonsense techno comes in the form of Deja Vu. It has a thundering kick, haunting synth stabs and a piercing percussive fusion. It has a warped synthetic stab which punches throughout the track and gives some serious authority. The title track Certain Trace has a mind-melting hook combination, driving listeners into the depths of the mix. It grows in complexity as the track progresses with a catchy elevating style rhythm. Two crackers right here. We love them both!

Marc Romboy - The Overture (Joey Beltram Remix) [Tronic]

Marc Romboy is back on Tronic, and we have two remixes of his classic “The Overture”. For remix duties we enlisted Techno originator and legend Joey Beltram, as well as France’s deep house genius Rodriguez Jr. The outcome is as expected. Mr Beltram changes the original to a peak time slice of moody techno, whereas Rodriguez Jr. goes the more melodic route using a beautiful arpeggio. We are very happy with this release and hope you will be as well!

13. Christian Smith & John Selway - Total Departure (Christian Smith Remake)

Christian Smith & John Selway - Total Departure (Christian Smith Remake)

"Total Departure" was originally released on Drumcode in 2008. While the minimal techno hype was in full swing back then this track was totally different and instantly became a big hit. With Adam Beyer's approval I decided to update this track, because I felt the production could be more tight and the original could do with an update. I kept the main elements that made the original so special and built new groove and implemented a shorter but equally powerful break. Its been a weapon in my recent sets. Hope you like it!" 14. Kaiserdisco - Varuna (Original Mix) [Tronic]

Kaiserdisco - Varuna (Original Mix) [Tronic]

Spotify: http://spoti.fi/2zwPLNn Digital: http://bit.ly/TR264_bp Vinyl: http://bit.ly/TR112Vdecks With more than 20 years of releases under its belt, Tronic stands to remain a firm techno favourite for its fans with a steady stream of outstanding releases, including its 13 artist albums, which includes Kaiserdiscos forthcoming debut LP on Tronic this November. Another Dimension displays the duos direction in the production of late, stripping back to their 90s techno roots, with a more dirty, unique and timeless sound. They felt that they have reached another dimension in the studio and this new wave of creativeness formed the basis for the new album. Compiled by 11 original true techno tracks, each with their own unique elements, we start with the beatless intergalactic arpeggiation opener Vanth, to the more punchy, linear and low-end rumblers like Varuna, Eris and Orcus, creating warehouse-like, gritty textures and sounds. A glimpse into their more subtle, down tempo and melodic approach, Hydra, Hauma and Sedna offer a hypnotic incorporation of futuristic soundscapes, something which is dominant through the entire album. Since their last hit EP Knocking Echoes with Karotte, the guys have teamed up again with him to create the only collaboration track on the album, Namaka. Dark and brooding textures in a low-end mood, accompanied by heady synth work. The track names some NASA fans may recognize, as they were named after planets within Kuiper Belt, another solar system within our universe. A theme which has transpired into the artwork, as well as a new dimension or era, the duo have entered during the making of this LP in the last year.
