Wabi - Sabi

A project by verb/re/verb Wabi - Sabi is the Japanese concept surrounding transience. Wabi - Sabi is the beauty of decay. This project is meant to depict the elegance in decay, the artistry in revitalization, and the reinvention of deterioration. For this project, 5 electronic based artists covered older non-electronic songs. The songs were then sent to the prolific videographers, Wooden Lens, who took 30 seconds of each track and paired each track with archival footage from the same year of the original composition of the song covered. In the video, the songs go chronologically from the oldest release date to the most recent. A brief encompass of history in video, in technology, and in the exquisiteness in transience. While the video only includes 30 seconds from each song, the tracks in there entirety are available for download here:?ixi384j7wlai6cp Tracklist: 1) Pressed And - Can the Circle be Unbroken (The Carter Family) 2) WHITE HORSE - S.H.O.U.T. (Boswell Sisters) 3) Galapagos - Earth Angel (The Temptations) 4) Ghilbi - Little Bitty Pretty One (Thurston Harris) 5) Option Command - You and I (Stevie Wonder)

5. Do We Have Milk?

Do We Have Milk?

Music credit: The Seedy Seeds - Verb Noun Advances in physical computing are changing the way we interact with our environment. These changes can influence how we go about doing our day-to-day activities, such as food organization. To explore the connection between the physical world and the digital world, we focused on a single universal question to find a way to merge these two worlds more intuitively into everyday life. We’ve all been there. You pour a bowl of cereal, or a cup of coffee. Go to the fridge. No milk. Maybe you’re already at the grocery store in the dairy aisle and wonder, “How much milk do I have left at home?” What if you could take a peek into your fridge anytime, anywhere? To monitor the amount of the remaining milk, we attached a weight sensor to the bottom of a milk jug to send the weight values to your phone. When the milk reaches dangerously low levels, you get an alert on your phone reminding you to get milk while using your current location to map nearby grocery stores. Writeup:

Spanish Ser vs Estar Rap

Look us up on YouTube! Search: SlusionProductions LYRICS: Listen up, young knowledge seekers, Papa John's blastin' out ya speakers, Take your Espanol up by far, No more Para and Por, it's Ser & Estar We quicken the pace, your heart starts to race, We lace the verse with knowledge and fix your sad case, So this is the drill, it's something you know, So start taking notes, Escucha! Let's go! CHORUS: SER! ESTAR! Listen up to these bars, And when you're done, you'll be a Spanish Superstar! You and me, we'll learn to use "To be" Let your ears "Escuchar," to SER and ESTAR! HEY! When do you use Ser and why? First time is when you are descri- -bing, a thing, whether me or you, Ser's there to describe the attributes, When you say Papa's the best, Better than the rest, you're gonna use "es," Descriptions and characteristics, Ser is DC, like the capital or comics. Now we gon' break down Estar, Cause it's not scary whatsoever, On a general level, Estar's a temporary endeavor, Used with things that end in time, It's really quite clever, When you're using Estar, it will not last forever! CHORUS What is it that you do? What's your job, how do you get paid? Gonna use Ser, for anywhere, That we will find an occupation. Daughters and sons, open up your ears, Ser is the verb for your careers, Whatever get's you your dinero, "Papa Juan es un buen rapero!" Speaking of things that are temporary As well as this verb Estar, Location and Estar go together Wherever you are! If I'm at a bank in Spain, "Estoy al banco en Espana!" If I just fell off a mountain, "No estoy en la montana!" CHORUS x 2 "Excuse me, sir, do you have to time?" To rhyme? Yeah, as I do we'll watch your knowledge climb. Ser is the verb as you watch the clock, Seconds, minutes, any time block. And for your place of origin, the country you were born in, lots of choices here and there, All for three little letters, SER. Family, relationships, es mi padre, stuff like this, Ser is the verb that you've got to use, If all these things are given to you, Description, occupation, relationship, time, and origin, Now you can use Ser on your own, One last thing, TIBURON! Position yourself in the world that is surrounds you, From back middle side here and there to, Now for all these positions, which verb you gonna use? It's actually not your choice, use ESTAR or else you'll lose! When you're doing an action, you better be ESTAR utilizing, Estoy mirando, comprando, llorando, anything, FabuLoso, Papa Juan, your favorite two people, Remixing it up, the Por and Para sequel! CHORUS x 2

Braiform prides itself on being one of the global leaders in the provision of innovative, competitive and environmentally sustainable garment hangers. Braiform’s sustainability programme provides a platform for 1.5 billion of their partner’s hangers to be re-used annually rather than going into landfill. They were however struggling to explain the complex process to their partners. Pangaea started by re-branding the programme as reUse™. reUse™ is environmentally friendly and sustainable and so the happy hanger reflects this. The dimples add depth to the character behind the brand which translates through to the corporate animation. Finally reUse™ is written in a way that distinguishes itself from the verb re-use. This allows Braiform to take ownership of the word. The 90 second animated video explains the programme and its benefits in a simple and friendly manner. As well as the character creation and execution, Pangaea scripted the narrative and created the storyboard.

cmiVFX Profesional Modo ReTopology Promo

Princeton, NJ (January 10th, 2013)‚ cmiVFX releases a new, rock solid, Luxology Modo training video that covers the principles of Re-Topology. While the phrase "retopo" is used as a verb in most studios already, there are only a few successfully created tools that allow for true retopo with limited amounts of redundant labor often found in those "fly by night" 3rd party apps found online. When it comes to converting your geometry, you want the best possible solution with the most consistent results. cmiVFX has been involved with writing our own retopo apps through out the years, but we feel that this video demonstrates a superior method of keeping highly detailed topology found in your ZBrush or Mudbox mesh exports. Now that Luxology has merged up with TheFoundry, it would be a good time to start learning the Modo Workflow. Now you can learn how to do it in just a few hours, thanks to the excellent work from our very own, Wes McDermott. Short Description Learn how to take detailed meshes with high density points and reduce them to manageable source meshes for the animation pipeline. NOTICE TO VIEWERS: (General 3D Modeling Knowledge would be helpful but not required to watch this video) VIMEO TEASER LINK Here at cmiVFX we maintain a current training library for the latest versions of popular software titles. PARAPHERNALIA (n'ayons l'air de rien) opening Nov 10 8PM

Woodland Creatures ,260 - 262 Leith Walk, EH6 5EL Édimbourg For the month of November Woodland Creatures proudly presents 'Paraphernalia' a mixed media collage project by Yannick Dangin Leconte. PARAPHERNALIA (n’ayons l’air de rien)*, 2003-2015 Paraphernalia [par-uh-fer-neyl-yuh, -fuh-neyl-] noun 1. (sometimes used with a singular verb) equipment, apparatus, or furnishing used in or necessary for a particular activity: a skier's paraphernalia. 2. (used with a plural verb) personal belongings. 3. (used with a singular verb) Law. the personal articles, apart from dower, reserved by law to a married woman. *n’ayons l’air de rien = let’s look nonchalant and/or let’s look like nothing. When the artist started this serie back in 2003, it was about questioning the Holy notion of the Original. An ambitious idea that finally lead him to re-new, re-fresh and re-act his way of painting.. Nothing dies, everything is recycled. Yannick changes the rules, finds new processes to constitute an image, by mixing differents technics; from the realistic patient inkpen drawings to short time painting interventions. He uses traditional tools and perishable products, which start to rote, break, collapse… (food and liquids). The final movement is to freeze that transformation by using a printing machine as a neutral tool. That last transformation (copy and enlarge) finally removes the Nature of the matrix. So these unique vanities are the last witnesses that remain from those times, slowly fading away, images of images that no longer exist, faint lights of dead stars in the sky. In addition to painting and drawings, Yannick Dangin Leconte works as an installation and video artist. In recent years, he has focused his attention on several musical projects as a music video director, motiongraphist, vj and camera eye. Since 2005 he also works on a video cycle published on youtube as ydlorphans using the medium of video to create a narrative of his life. My World Is Huge = ydlorphans = vimeo = contains part of La Grande Vadrouille and Out Of Time by The Rolling Stones

Love does series recap

What are some practical tangible ways to love the people around us? How can we unleash a “love offensive”, a tidal wave of love in our community? Transcript: In this series, we're not just talking about love–it's not "love says." It's not the series, "Love thinks nice things." No! It's the series "Love does." It's doing–Love is more about doing than it is about feeling; it's more about action than it is about emotion. Love is doing what is best for the other person no matter what it costs you. Love is a verb. Love is active. Let's get out and love people. Love God, love people, love your enemy. Love one another. Doesn't matter who it is–show them the love of Jesus. It's all about love. You'll never meet someone in whom Jesus did not die. And then all of us–Jesus said "we're to love our enemies." Jesus' definition of neighbor goes far beyond the next door. It goes far beyond the person that agrees with you–that talks like you. It goes far beyond the people that are easy to like. He's saying, "I want you to do something–for your enemy–do something good for them." "If we don't love each other," Jesus said, "the world wouldn't believe in Him." When we love each other, it is the visible authentication of the message of God's love–that your love validates everything that Jesus said and did; it shows that it's true. Jesus did the ultimate love. The cross is God's way of doing everything he could for us. He was doing what's best for us no matter what it cost him–and what did it cost him? Everything. It cost him his life. That's the highest price anybody could pay. Since God loved us with action that's how we ought to love each other. Love is something we do.
